Prepare for 3 1/2 quarters of undefended shots, and maybe a little bit of defense at the end if the game is close.

Two things to predict; Winner and MVP

Winner: West. Team is too deep.

MVP: Durant. Warriors teammates are going to feed him.

I wasn't a huge fan of the mlb rule of all star game deciding home field/court advantage for the championship series. But it might be a good idea for the nba at this point. Something to make it competitive. Otherwise go full rock n jock and add another hoop 20 feet up and make it a 30 pointer if you make it. Who cares.

The all star game is just weird. There has to be incentive to truly compete. I'd have to think about what - I think home court in the finals is wrong for a lot of reasons - but there has to be a reason to truly compete.

No. That was atrocious in baseball and shouldn't have any place in an exhibition game. This game is for the fans. Not the players. You think the dude on a fringe playoff team in the east that's sub 500 is going to try harder so Bron Bron can get home court?

Yeah, I understand that aspect. But just based on history, the top powerhouses from each conference almost always have the greatest representation at the AS game each year. I'd see no reason why even the representatives from the bad squads would lay down if everyone else is playing their hearts out. If you look at both squads this year, almost every player is on a team that still has an outside shot at the postseason.
