Hi,

I have been lucky and fortunate not to encounter any problem ebay buyer, until now. The buyer claims that were was a ding on one of the corners and the 2015 bowman draft autograph is not numbered to /499. She wants a partial refund or will send back the card for a full refund.

I informed buyer, 2015 bowman draft refractor autos are not numbered and I don't remember seeing an issue with any corner. Ask buyer which corner was it and I will provide full refund after the card is mailed back.

Buyer replied back by saying, will file compliant and leave proper feedback (neg, i assume). Cause the listing wasn't accurate (not being /499, which buyer is incorrect about and ding on the corner). My listing listed card id near-mint or better and to see photo. And I don't remember seeing any ding on the corners. She still didn't respond to my question about the corner. I feel like buyer is trying to pull a fast one on me.

Any advise on this situation? Can they leave a neg even when a full refund is accepted. Thanks

Your previous message

Hi,

sorry you are not happy with the condition, I did list it as near-mint condition or better. I did not notice any issues with the corner. Which corner was it? Also 2015 Bowman Draft Refractors are not numbered. Please see any ebay listing for other 2015 bowman draft refractor autograph cards and you will see not /499.

Please go ahead and send the card back and I'll give you full refund.

thanks

Buyer also has 98.8% positive feedback. Which was a small concern, but I figure had good recent feedback and the buyer had some issues with other problem ebayers.

I wouldn't issue a partial. Just tell them to return the card and be done with it. 99% of the time they disappear as "they want to keep the card" and are just trying to get it cheaper. If by chance they do leave a negative, call ebay and say the threatened it in their messages and it will be removed.

I'm paraphrasing of course but that is the gist of it.

If she said "will leave proper feedback".... that could be feedback extortion.

If she leaves the feedback, cal eBay and ask for it to be removed. You may get a no from them, but just call back and try a different rep.

I honestly hate dealing with women when it comes to cards. Straight up truth.
The few times I've sold to them have been nothing but problems and has either led to a return or partial refund.

If the partial refund is reasonable maybe just send her the friggin PayPal and be done with it and her.

Update. I did offer a $5 refund ($40 purchase) but that is it. Buyer responded back with "I'll handle it thru ebay it's there policy" At this point, I was 'ok, whatever.'

5 hours later, buyer message me with "I will accept a partial refund 7.00 u need to look what ur posting if not I eill5 open a visit with ebay".

I was like, WTF. If buyer replied earlier with this, I would have refunded the $7, but buyer replied with the other message. Just ticks me off. So I just ignored.

Today I was left with a negative feedback from that buyer, as expected. Already provided feedback on buyer through ebay. Will call about getting that neg removed. Do I just call Ebay customer service?

Yes, definitely feels like extortion.

Sucks

Yup, sucks. Avoid this buyer/seller.

Yeah she sounds like a headache to say the least, thanks for letting us know her eBay ID so we can block her. Keep us posted on how it goes with eBay, hoping they see the shadiness and reverse the neg.
