Odd situation - an offer and some anger

I'm sure this has happened to a few of you. But i had an odd situation go down over the weekend. Early last week i bid on and lost a card. I put in a low bid because i didn't really like the patch. If i had won it for my $25 offer i would have been happy but really didn't want to spend a penny more. Of course i didn't win (didn't really expect to) and it sold for nearly $100.

Fast forward to Friday evening. The person who bought the item contacted me. They told me they purchased an card that I "needed" because they didn't want me to "miss out" and they could include it in a trade for a card they've pestered me about before and i've said plainly is not for sale.

I said again the card he wanted wasn't for sale. But not knowing it was the card i bid on i asked for pics and trade value. Mostly to be polite. Of course his trade value was $150 and i was upfront and told him i bid on that exact card and was out at $25.

He proceed to get mad saying he was doing me a favour by buying it. And that i should at least buy it from him and he'd let it go for $100. I suggested next time that he just send me the link.

Anyways just venting as i've gone through an entire weekend of him being p$ssy, begging, name calling etc.

Anyone have similar incidents?

I read the OP as the winner of the eBay card, he contacted OP independently of knowing whether or not he bid on the card... just so happened it was the same item OP bid on, but the other guy didn't know that until he was told. Not that he figured it out from any obfuscated eBay info.

I think that would be far too big of a coincidence since they were trying to throw in the auction-won card for a card that smalltown repeatedly had said was not for sale and had been pestered about before by the same user. That's where it gets a bit suspicious.

if the card always sell for in the 100's what was the point of putting a 25$ bid on it?.....you know for a fact you're not going to win the auction with that price....it doesn't make any sense at all...its like TS is trying to devalue the card...i'd like to see if he actually put the 25$ bid in on the auction....I just find it weird someone putting down a bid just for the hell of it...

now with that said....

Of course no one else really collects my PC guy and every once in a while I pick one up for 90 percent off there BIN price.
