Hoping for Durant ACL tear - Am I a bad person ?

First things first.

Yes, I am a Lebron James and Cavaliers fan. Yes, the most exciting basketball game I have ever watched in my 42 years on this planet was Game 7 of the 2015-16 NBA Finals.

Secondly,

There were a lot of people who did not like Durant joining the Warriors. Do all of these people also wish Durant has a serious injury? I do not know. I am guessing I am one of the few that do.

Thirdly,

If he had stayed with OKC and he had this injury, I WOULD NOT HOPE THAT he tears the ACL. Why the different mindset? Because he chose to stay with Westbrook instead of joining and playing on a team with 4 All Stars.

Lastly,

Who gives a hoot about what I care ? I am a new member here and simply am just 1 person out of over 300 million who live in the great USA. Whatever the MRI reveals tomorrow will not be dependent on my hopes and wishes. It is all up to the "basketball gods".

Once again I hope the Cavs repeat back to back, but like I just stated above, the NBA Title will not be decided by my hopes and wishes, but by the "basketball gods" or maybe a mere mortal by the name of KING JAMES. ;)

You admitted to being a fan of the defending champs. A fan of the team that has added korver, deron and bogut. Is that not enough. You admitted to being a fan of lebron. Do you think he is the GOAT? The Warriors had no control over who was in the Cavs lineup when they won two years ago. You can only play the opponent you've been given. I disagree with you when you say that the ring they won is worth "nothing". It takes a lot of hard work and effort to win a championship in the NBA. The Warriors went 16-5 in the playoffs against quality opponents. Winning a ring is an achievement regardless of who the other team is missing. The same is true if LeBron wins this year against a Warriors team who may be missing Durant. But if Durant is in fact out, the Warriors may not even make it to the Finals. I could see a Finals between the Cavs and Spurs, and if LeBron should win that Finals the ring he receives will definitely be worth more than "nothing".

It's kind of due to the world we live in today where things have become so ultra-competitive that crime is a common everyday occurrence and people feel often more hate for one another than love. It is what it is. But hate is a destructive force and too much of it will suck out the enjoyment from life, so that's something for us all to consider.
