Some Kobe and pairing

Hi BOers,

It has been a while. I have gradually changed from posting bimonthly to annually. A casual look shows less than 1/3 of all threads are about maildays and card showcases (ignoring some rolling threads, maybe even less than 1/5). Hope I can contribute to some showcases and hope people will follow suits.

First to celebrate Lakers' FO makeover, let me start with this championship/last serial numbered triple pairing (I'm glad Shaq's auto in this set is legit):

Next up, me some chronology Kobe auto. Patch window matches serial number and funny enough Kobe's auto looks exactly like Panini's lazy ones:

I'm quite happy with this mini project. As 15-16 NT is Kobe's final playing days' issue (autos were signed when Kobe was still playing and it was released right after the farewell game), so I collected 5 Kobe 24/ auto from that product for 5 rings and total 7 cards for 7 Finals trips, including the base 24/99.

If I don't show off this one, someone will not call this is a spinotron mailday and won't let me off the hook, so here it is. I especially love its back caption specifically mentioning Kobe's last game and his performance and significance. Also action shot is not standing around, dribbling or freethrow shooting.

I've harped on the fact that a league talk subforum would obviously make things more organized - the counter is always that it would negatively impact traffic. I find that to be a bit of an exaggeration, but who knows, maybe it's true to a certain degree.

Anyway, I really like the Kobe Chronology, very sharp. Is that holofoil around the patch window or "just" gold?

Wow man, you just decide you want the Kobe 24/xx of a product and then you just get them all; crazy. The logoman is of course awesome, but my favorite is the Magic Title Winners; it just looks perfect to me.

Yeah, more traffic, but not card related. Hard to navigate to find card showcases. Just metallic gold texture, not holofoil. Maybe higher parallels are?

There are still several more 24/ of Kobe in that product (even discounting USA auto as not true jersey number). You will be kind of amazed that how many Kobe autos they squeezed in in the single product. I used to check ebay often but missed out a 200$ Kobe 24/ auto in the same product somehow, and now needs to pay 3+ times to get it, so I stopped at this 7, instead of trying to chase them all. Yeah the Magic is nice matching my Kobe 5/5. Hope he can reverse Lakers' course.

Thank you. Yeah, picked those Kawhi letters dirty cheap after his Finals MVP. Logoman did cost me, but to have the only Panini non-free-throw shooting action shot in a logoman makes to plunge.
