It's a set that was made to make up for Replay and I think is being distributed like promo packs but only for former and future purchases of Replay. However, I assume they'll be sold on their own eventually as a bunch of promo packs have.

Looks like someone opened theirs not too long ago and got some crazy base hits on Twitter. Not really a fan of the look of these though.

Also to note it looks like some autos are just a sticker auto placed on the 'new' base with a gray gradient underneath. Kind of underwhelming.

Prism was pretty rad when it first came out... it's kind of a joke now to me. Littlerally 25 parallels? Just too much.

I think it's because of all the alternate forms of release. Blaster exclusive parallels, multi fat pack exclusive parallels, etc. I could do without some of the unnumbered colors and waves though honestly.

Going from their descriptions, it's a 100 card base set with Red/Blue/Camo (/25)/Gold (/10)/Black (/1) parallels alongside a 28 card auto set with rookies and veterans.

Each promo box has 3 10-card packs with autos packed in 1 out of every 3 boxes on average. I assume people aren't trying to move the other players in the set as much as the 'best' ones for now.

Also I don't think they'll release a checklist for this but I'm pretty sure we'll see all the base cards as breaks happen this week.

I'm just salty they got rid of NCAA on-card rookie autos and the veteran on-card auto parallels.

Prizm took a huge step back this year. This is just more hot garbage on top. The fact that this was created to make up for their worst basketball product of all-time seems like a slap in the face.

I think they're all different photos to the "original" prizm. Looks like Simmons is doing a lay-up in the practice facility. :coffee:

I am undecided at this point. I think they made some good choices with Prizm last year. This year, I'm not so sure...

They're all variants to the original Prizm release. That lack of action shots shows me that they rushed the production of these.

The Simmons red looks pretty sporty matching the uniforms. They scan kinda funky. I'd like to see one in person to.

The flood gates are opening on the bay. Glad Panini used different photos or it could have really effected the value of Prizm round 1. We still have white sparkles in the on-deck circle don't we?

Couldn't agree with you more. I know ppl still pay crazy prices for unnumbered supposedly SP silver prizms, etc (i.e. Simmons???), but man they have ruined the whole parallel chase for me. I even bought into the prizm hype for a couple years after the OG (12-13) but I just can't get into this year with more and more and more prizm colors, lol.

Wait? So seriously they have made even MORE prizm variations? Some one please tell Panini that enough is enough.

At this rate I'm willing to bet that by 2020 there will be 50 different color variations/"prizms".

No, some sellers are not combining it with Replay. They are dogging Replay down into the $70's-$80's and selling these over $100 to get back close to their approximate overall $190 on what Replay MAAP originally was. There's some on that auction site isolated from Replay for sale.

I think they probably won't sell it on its own for a while since they still have to get rid of the Replay they bought prior. Though this is assuming they still have boxes left to sell after a certain period of time.

I think the Camo Prizms have a chance to carve out their own market. They're, imo, the best looking /25 (mojo being the worst, again, imo). The golds will sell well but should land near half what the original gold prizm would do and same for the 1/1 Black. There will be a small premium on the mosaic base, i'd assume, but that might not be true. Again, this is all a long-term prognostication.

They certainly look that way. I've never held one so can't confirm if they look like that in hand, but I think you're right.
