Well, my first and only 1of1 that I pulled was a Michael Egnew... probably part of the reason why I don't buy boxes anymore

Sucks, but at least it's just a plate.

Anywho, send it to Panini replacements. They'll get you something comparable.

Nice to have a 1/1 even if a scrub player but the scratch really just messed up the whole experience of hitting a unique card. No wrapper or box so I can't complain to Panini.

How much does having the box when filing a damage claim.

Maybe it's just me... but I don't mind printing plates being damaged / scratched whatever. They were used to print/make cards. They shouldn't be gem.

Yes. Printing plates will always have some damage. I like them, though.

Yeah I don't see the problem with them especially if the player has very few 1 of 1s. I collect Edelman and don't see a ton of 1 of 1s so I just bought a plate for cheap.

Panini will tell you to screw off when it comes to replacing Plates.. I saw someone on Twitter ask earlier this week and they said that scratches and ink smudges occur do to the plates being used as a template.

It's a plate, sell it and move on.
