Spinotron inspired. We need to up the ratio of card to...God knows what threads in the Hobby section.
After working with the "good" people at DHL for several weeks, a care package from New Zealand finally arrived. The chocolates were nearly dominated in their entirety last night (I'm fairly certain the secret ingredient in the Black Forest chocolate is black tar heroin, but I'll need to do some more research to be sure), and there's a 0.00% chance the chips & dip make it through this weekend. So very, very delicious.

Also, I think it might have been an oversight by the shipper, but for some reason, this was also included:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain this was the only Kobe on-card auto to come out of 2008-09 Ultimate. The rest of his cards (Epic Signatures, dual variations with LBJ, Lakers quad /8) were all stickers, as he could no longer hard sign due to his Panini exclusive. I keep finding little details within the overall card design (the small Ultimate logo silhouettes dotting the background, the modest gold foil accents, the different horizontal and vertical arcs that help shape the signature areas, the BLACK INK AUTOGRAPHS....) that further reinforce just how much more sophisticated UD designs are/were than their competitors. Love it.
Many, many thanks to one of the best members out there. He and I go back over a decade to the damn HobbyKings boards, and I've never once thought twice (see what I did there) about sending stuff halfway across the world. Cheers, G, you angry bastard ;)
