I have a soft spot for JaMarcus Russell and really liked him at LSU. Was at the Chicago Fanatics show this weekend and unearthed this in the bargain bin. Couldn't pass up the nostalgia and picked it up.

Bought a bunch of stuff from the same guy so there was a bulk discount because he wanted to get rid of stuff. Came out to 5 a card. It was from a seller who was about one row removed from the snack bar area.

I do the same thing whenever I see high end Matt Leinart stuff for cheap. I started collecting seriously in 2006 and I remember his stuff being untouchable, pretty cool that I can own a lot of it now for next to nothing :D

There were some good deals by that snack area! I picked up 2 89 UD Griffeys, an 89 score Barry and an 84 USFL Reggie white for $70, and my friend got a pretty nice montana rc for $22 in that same row :)

A Montana for $22! Dang, I should have gone earlier. I was there Sunday looking to pick up Montana RCs and best deal I got was $60 on a pretty decent card.

Yea it was priced 34.99 but the guy had a confusing sign in the case that said some cards were 10% off some cards were 30% off, I forget how it was worded but anyway, yea my friend went to pay and he said it was 30% off so it was 22.75. He also had another one that was a little beat up and o/c for 24.99 so that one would have been even cheaper

I absolutely hated that pick from the moment it was announced, but I hope he's doing well. He's a young man, so he can still do whatever he wants with his life.

Except play football professionally, but hey, neither can we.

I heard the snack bar had Scott Mitchell & Jared Lorenzon signing. When Mitchell was the Lions Nose Tackle / Quarterback, he was reported to be over 280.
