2013 vs. 2016

Well at another fork in the road with my collection,


for context, I try and complete every rainbow there is in college uniform for the Vols. (because I want to, nobody is forcing me to do that)

pre 2013 - I own about 90% of all the cards in the beckett database. And those still missing are hard to find.

In 2013, The Vols had 8 players in college uniform with 3 decent prospects (Hunter, CP, Bray)...I knew it would be bad for my collection numbers but it was fun

the total for 2013, 784 cards, I have acquired 487 of them...(116 of them are 1/1's left on the list to get)

In 2017, through 3 releases (Leaf Retail, Metal and upcoming Elite) I have 260 on the checklist to go after (not counting the mass pre production cards). And again we have 3 decent prospects.

what will the total be this year once prizm, etc all release?

I think i will go left instead of right this time.

I collected Rashard Higgins this year since he played college ball up the road. Beckett says there are 443 (which includes all of the 1/1's, about 100 or so). I still need 126 non-1/1 cards. He was in most of the releases this year, but typically with only the base and all of the parallels, very few inserts. I thought it would be fun to collect someone new this year, and while it was, it has been difficult to get even a couple cards from one release before the next product was coming out. New product was coming out so frequently, that it was difficult to spend any time checking out what I had! If I had to do it again, I might not have done it!
