This is an 8 man (hard to find guys to do it), 8 keeper league. It is weekly, high point. Hitting scoring is 1 point for singles, 2 for doubles, 3 for triples, 4 for HR's, 1 point per base, 1 point per walk, 1 point per RBI, 1 point per run scored, and -2 per K.

For pitching it is 3 points per inning pitched, 1 point per K, 10 points per win, 3 points per quality start, 7 points per save, 5 points per hold, -5 for blown save, -5 points per loss, -1 per hit, -1 per walk, -2 per earned run, -2 per HR allowed.

I had the first pick in the draft. My keepers are marked with a * and round/pick is in parentheses in a (X.X) format with the pick being the pick of that round (so 1 through 8).

C-Gary Sanchez (1.8)
1B-Miguel Cabrera*
2B-Rougned Odor (1.1)
3B-Miguel Sano*
SS-Francisco Lindor*
OF-Andrew Benintendi*
OF-Starling Marte*
OF-Kyle Schwarber*
Utility-Greg Bird (3.1)

SP-Corey Kluber*
SP-Carlos Carrasco (2.8)
SP-Marcus Stroman (4.8)
SP-Steven Wright (10.8)
SP-Michael Wacha (8.8)
RP-Roberto Osuna (11.1)

BENCH-DJ LeMehieu (6.8)
BENCH-Tim Anderson (16.8)
BENCH-Jackie Bradley Jr (FA Pickup)
BENCH-Brandon Drury (9.1)

BENCH P-Ian Kennedy (12.8)
BENCH P-Jameson Taillon (15.1)
BENCH P-Jharel Cotton (9.2)
BENCH P-Francisco Rodriguez (14.8)
BENCH P-Adalberto Meija (FA Pickup)

IR-Jason Kipnis (13.1)
IR-JD Martinez*
IR-Chris Tillman (FA Pickup)

What do you guys think? I know my SP's are relatively week, but I only had one keeper worthy SP this year so I drafted some potential guys and some guys I am high on (Stroman, Cotton).

for a 8 team league personally feel that pitching staff is on the weaker side and dont see the upside outside of carrasco/stroman as pitchers who will sustain for the next 3-4 years as constant keepers.

The hitting def is interesting and in a year or 2 could be a top crew. I think with the draft you got outstanding value kipnis 13.1, osuna 11.1 and taillon 15.1 but i feel you went way too early with bird 3.1 - if there was a SP there it may have been yoru itnerest there to just amp your staff with another power arm. As a yankee fan, bird is interesting but with guys like Stroman, Kipnis, Lemehieu all picked after him hold much more value and would have been interesting who was still available.

I think for a 8 team league its going to be a team that may struggle this year but has a good young core. I'd look for bidders for Miggy and any of the vet pitchers if they start the year strong (wright, wacha, kennedy, cotton, tillman) if any start strong I'd move them for younger talent. IMO

good luck

Thanks for the input! I took Bird where I did because I knew the guy right after me would grab him and there wasn't a SP I liked in the 3rd there. I think Stroman has the highest value out of the pitching I drafted, but I think Jhurel Cotton, who is I believe 25, is going to have potential keeper written all over him.

As for trading Miggy, I have been trying and will continue to try and move him, especially if I have a slow start to the year.
