2016 Flawless Football?

Hi guys - I haven't seen a checklist for this yet, but any guess on what the boys are selling for? I've seen a few breakers preselling, but they're sold out already.

Incidentally, do you think Flawless secondary market will hold up? I like NT this year (a tiny bit flat, but certainly not ugly) but I'm wondering what you think about Flawless with it coming out.

They're definitely nice looking cards. They tote it as their flagship product and price it that way as well but the problem is the secondary market just isn't there. It needs about a $1000 price drop per case.

I use a breaker that has Dallas for $799 for a 2 box case (still available) but i will stick with my Bengals for $60!

What would you have to hit that you think could be in there to justify $60 for one card? [Since the odds of hitting 2 or more cards for a team are very low.]

I haven't done much analysis, but I did notice that one really good breaker I use a lot has had 4 cases PYT stuck at like 30, 31 teams for the past few days.

I'm wondering if the combination of high price & all the money put towards National Treasures is going to tank Flawless breaks.

Non Cowboys collectors have to be waiting on checklists. NT Niners was not worth buying into breaks for. Flawless likely less so.

I pulled a Lombardi auto out of '99 SP Signature ... One of the first cut auto's ever produced ... It was actually a full check folded up into a booklet ... Sold it for $2,000 cash within a week of pulling it

Assuming 1 RPA and the /25,20,15,10,5,1 rainbow used last year, that's 76 cards across the entire print run (anywhere from 2500 to 4000 cases is my estimate). If there are multiple RPAs, then 152 cards, but I'm not certain they all go for $60 or over at that point.

Why would Jameis have an encased card in this? As if we didn't already get our fill of encased cards in Honors. Is this the direction that Panini is going in, to justify the price of a box, by fancy-ing up cards by sticking them into plastic cases? That is beyond stupid.

My 2 cents: As a Niner fan I can pick up any number of NT or Flawless autos of ALL of these players (no rookies in Flawless for the Niners).

Montana, Young, Rice, Lott, Clark, Craig.

I have multiple high end on card autos of all of these cats.

With no rookies and no new names, this is the easiest pass of all time. Might be singing a different tune if Niners had drafted a top offensive weapon, but they didn't. Like others have said I picked up super low numbered on card autos of all of these guys already. Nothing special here. If you are going to charge that much you better bring more that Zeke/Dak and some cut autos for me.

This is a far cry from that first year of Flawless basketball.

I don't think anyone is saying Winston is a bad player or card...it's just not what you'd expect to see as a case hit in a $3k product. People want to see rookies or HOF'ers not second year cards.

Maybe not that long. It simply hasn't translated well as a FB product. It also, doesn't help that Panini releases it so close to NT and well outside of its correlating season.

They need to decide between Flawless or Immaculate as their early to mid-season release..... having both along with NT devalues either.

Way too much ugly foil on the Emerald and Ruby cards, and it just seems like random shapes.

Plus unless you hit a Marino, there's nothing to get excited about in the checklist for Dolphins - $129 I just saw on one breakers site, which is insane considering they dont seem to have that many cards and the prices on this years Dolphins rookies is rock bottom.

An easy pass on this one I think, I might pick up a Drake if they're going cheap on eBay.

Thats a loaded question based on many many variables. Also, you didn't put a time frame to get to that % opened. Before group breaking, product runs took longer to get opened, less cards on secondary market in a tight time frame, which led to higher secondary sales.
