I'm just realizing actually how difficult it is to make money on-line selling cards. Between the Paypal and eBay fees you have to pay, it is nearly impossible to make money.
Can someone tell me what % paypal takes from total payment?
Selling a card ebay, they take listing fee, plus 10% of final sell fee, correct? On top of that, do they take a percent of the shipping fee as well? It looks like it to me? Can someone explain this?

I believe eBay takes 8-9% and PayPal takes 2-3% and it's total 10%-12% of total sale. Or least that's what I was told. But yeah man it's very difficult. Thankful I found this forum.

ebay takes 10% (which includes the shipping) and paypal takes 2.9% plus 30 cents.. Kinda rediculous ebay puts a fee on the shipping charge IMO, but i guess then everybody would list for free w/ the price in shipping haha

if you know what you are doing, there is money to be made on ebay...the first thing is quit paying listing fees...I only list when I get a promo, but I also play in the shallow end of the pool, so it is very difficult to make money selling low end if you start out with the $0.30 listing fee...

I'm with you. I only list up to the 50 I get free each month or activate free listings when I get them (for the most part). Got a deal for 500 free auction style listings. Didn't realize people still did auction style. When I search for stuff, 80% or more of the auctions are BIN with about half of those being overpriced.
But yea, eBay is a tough place to sell. I'm glad I have this site too. Tried SCF, but nobody really buys over there. Mostly just trading.
