2010/11 SP Authentic Basketball Hobby 12 Box Case HIT BREAK

OK here is your chance to get a Michael Jordan or Lebron James Autograph in a hit break. Yes each 12 box case will contain either a Michael Jordan or Lebron Autograph and there could be 2 of them in the case.

This will be a hit break with 29 spots as follows:
(24) autographs (Autos could be Letter, single, dual, triple & quad)
(3) Michael Jordan Floor cards
(2) base/ parallel slots: boxes 1-6 & boxes 7-12

Base/ parallel slot for boxes 1-6 will be Spot #1
Base/ parallel slot for boxes 7-12 will be Spot #29

The hit randomization will done by myself or a Mod and will be randomed 5 times each. If we pull additional hits beyond your hit slots, we will randomize the extra hits to give all slot holder another chance at a hit card. If this does occur, I will go to random.org immediately after the break and randomize all slot holders 5 times.

I got you down. I will be opening this product live and each hit will be either an autograph or floor card. There are 2 base slots where that person gets all the base/ parallels/ rc/ inserts in boxes 1-6 and another person for boxes 7-12. So 27 people will get a hit card and 2 people the base slot. If there are more than 27 hits, I will random that extra hit cards between every slot holder.

Rinkwraith is correct. This is not a draft hit break. The hits will go to each spot holder in order..so if the 15th hit is a Magic Johnson Auto, that hit would go to you. The only spots we know are Spot #1 and #29 which are the base/parallel spots for each case.

Case prices have gone up $300-400 since we ordered our first case, so the $50 per slot ($7 more than the initial $43) price is adjusted to reflect this + I'd like to get a little extra for the 5 months I've sat on these spots :p

not to stir the pot, but i know the first post says if we pull any additional hits that they will be randomed at the end for everyone...but I have seen a number of gu cards pop up, maybe 1 every 2 boxes...are these going to be counted as hits as we are running along... for instance...if they get pulled in this order auto/gu, gu, auto

Yep, this is definitely the way to go. I'm sure I as well as others don't want a lame $2 jersey card to count as a hit and our break was structured around each hit being an auto:)!

I also think this is the best way to go since we all "assumed" the hits would be autos and not gu...any gu would be an additional hit and should be randomized at the end.

Yes the Holo-FX and Holo-FX die cuts go to the base slot of that case. So if we pull a die cut in Boxes 1-6, it goes to 1st base slot holder or Box #7-12 would go to 2nd base slot holder.

The base spot holder gets all these cards from their boxes.

Classic Hologram Cards:
- Holo F/X (1:6)
- Holo F/X Die-Cuts (1:144)

Base Set:
- Regular Cards - 100
- Cutting Down the Nets - 30 (1:3.333)
- Supreme Court - 30 (1:3.333)

I would agree with this...that way each half of the slot list has a chance at an "A" list auto...rather than mixing up all 12 boxes and possibly having both case hits in the first 2 boxes...

also, keeping the 6 box mini-cases seperate makes it easier for the base/insert slot holders

Let me get this straight, for the people that have been locked into the 2nd case break for the past FIVE MONTHS, I sure hope BLOWOUT steps up and honors the price that was posted on their site when we originally were locked in and the 2nd case was approved by BLOWOUT. If we have to pay the inflated price that the case is at now since it's release after we've been locked down for five months, I will never again order another box from them. A lot of people have their money tied up in this 2nd case that we still don't even know if it will happen. Please look into this.

To stay in Case #2, I will need an additional $20 for each spot.

I believe this break started before blowout was approving breaks and doling out invoice numbers. Blowout really never approved the break or entered into any type of verbal contract...


Hester did all he could and was really just a victim of unfortunate circumstances outside of his control.

No one is at fault here really, UD took forever to release this damn product and pulled back their usual allocation to online retailers otherwise I'm sure Blowout would have been able to sell us one back in March. If you feel like blaming anyone, blame them.

If anyone in case 2 wants to buy 2 HIT slots in case 1, let me know.

BO is going to cite to this under their rules and regulations for group breaks;
- Be advised that prices do change daily. Once you gauge the interest, purchase your case first before you intend on doing the group break. Otherwise you incur the risk of price changes or sell outs on that product.

Obviously, hester could not do this on a product that has been delayed as badly as it has been and BO selling out of pre-sell cases at the time he requested the second case. If you push this, BO changes their rules to read "all cases must be purchased before host can collect payments".....basically you can kiss hosts goodbye as nobody will ante up the deposit with breaks being as tricky as they are. So choose carefully.

It is a set of very unfortunate circumstances with the delay being as bad as it has been and the price jump, I'm sure hester would have loved to get the second case at the same price as the first case. They told him they were sold out of pre-sells unfortunately.

I will opening the packs in each box by starting on the bottom left stack and move clockwise through the box. I will do this same format for every box that I open to keep it uniform.

I will not be mixing up the packs or boxes. I will go in the order that Rinkwraith stated above. Box 1 Left, Box 2 Right, Box 3 Left, Box 4 Right and so on.

Any Jordan Classics jersey cards will be pulled out and randoming to everyone in the case. These will not count as actual hits. Only hits that will count are autos, auto letterman and floor cards.

If for some reason we get additional floor cards or autos, those will be randomed to everyone in the case as well.
