I'm very similar to you in what I like and dislike, though I've rearranged my personal preferences.

I like the overall structure of the product though:

All on card autos
Some insert sets that are much more limited (closing statements, team slogans)
Less parallels (seems only cornerstones has parallels, and those are only four)

This will wear out my pocketbook with these scintillating Towns cards. This could give Noir a run for its money depending on checklist, mainly because the price difference.

I might be in the minority and think this set looks like absolute garbage. The only card I like is the foil Difference makers but they used the wrong colors for it.

SRP should be around $250 per box. I think they look really good and this is one preview that actually gets me excited.
Even the Difference Makers auto looks kind of cool to me just because it's so different than almost anything else.
I would like to see what the base cards look like and what parallels we are going to get since the box has 3 inserts and 3 hits per box, so should be 18 base cards per box.

I love the sound of this product.

The design is not bad for me as well. I really like the look of the Ascent autos; it's so early to mid 90s looking and different from the other autos Panini makes.

You echoed exactly how I feel but much more clearly haha

The cornerstones set is interesting to me. I think the KAT that was leaked earlier and the Durant above look good with the team colors. On the other hand, I think the Celtics green and Bulls/Rockets red look hideous on that card. Hope it looks good with Kings and Thunder colors, although I wouldn't be too bummed if they didn't look good and I saved more $$.

Looks fine. Just salty we're getting more Mark Aguire. Great player -- don't get me wrong -- but he doesn't belong in high-end. Pulled him in NT... on a sticker, no less.

If I'm gonna pay $200+ a box, there should be no Mark Aguire. That's gotta be written somewhere. Lol.

Preview means nothing. You just have to tell us if we are going to get $5 on-card auto in 90% of the packs.

I like the concept. Like the rare inserts and the rare memerobillia cards sound cool. Probably won't be worth it's price, but I like the concept.

Agreed. He seems like one of the most used players you'll find in Panini products. I can't imagine he has much free time left over after spending his days signing for them non-stop.

Gonna have to see a few packs busted because I'm not paying $240 for a $35 return but I like the design of the foil autos and fact that there are true 1/1 cards.

I don't know why Panini does this. The cards were printed a long time ago.

I like the 'Ascent' and 'Upper Tier' autos.. :p

However overall the product looks bogus to me. :coffee:

Especially the 'Cornerstone' quad relic... looks absolute garbage IMO
