Seems it always happens to me, and I hate it. It's almost like they're watching and then throw that at you to encourage you to spend more even though you just dropped a couple of bills.

Does the 8% apply if I have an item in my cart that I won from an auction few days ago, and if I pay before 20th May?
(I'm bidding on some other items from same seller to save on combined shipping)

I also got the 8% ebay bucks mail today, and wondering about above.

Are you on a desktop?

When you go to pay, it should say "you will earn $x.xx in eBay bucks" to the right of your screen, under the total due.

I just tried looking on the desktop and it shows 8% to apply on my saved in-cart items as well!
Glad that I waited for other auctions to end.

This is why I often wait a few days to pay - oftentimes a coupon or eBay bucks will apply to already paid for items.

Double check that. If they're just sitting in your cart, but you haven't won, or committed to buy them then you would get the 8%. Usually anything purchased before it starts, even if unpaid, doesn't go toward the special rate. I didn't see the email though, so I didn't read the fine print, which I usually do. LOL
