Was thinking about buying low on him, but haven't watched him play much this year. What's with the huge meltdown? Is anyone buying him currently, or are you guys holding off?

^^ This, pretty much. His power is still there, and he's walking at a career-high rate. He'll be fine by season's end.

I've been thinking about snatching up his bowman chrome. He was my pick to win the MVP going into this season. His power might be at its best yet. I don't even want to say he's in a slump because he's still doing everything he usually does. I still see him finishing around .280 30+ homers 90+ RBIs.

I wonder if he gets benched for a couple games if he drops below .200?

He's definitely struggling. The teams in a major slump. Chris Davis with 64 Ks already... yowsers.

Yeah, I'd say bad #@#@#@#@ about him but other than Kris Bryant.. the Cubs lineup has been pretty cringeworthy outside of the homeruns. So I know that feel.

He should reach out to Trout and see if he can connect him with his PED specialist

If there's a poster boy for HGH facial bloat, it's Trout.

A week ago, I would have said that nothing is wrong with him. It's the same thing that ailed him at the end of last year. His pitch recognition isn't where it needs to be, he's guessing now.

No.

His past few years of excellence have bought him an extremely long rope. Honestly he probably wouldn't be taking out if he struggled all year.

In the O's locker room/front office no one is worried about him

At least his arm is still a cannon... I feel like I see him make an amazing throw from the other side of the foul line every other day

The power is more than there.

Nothing alarming with his strikeout rate either. I think it's just a combination of bad luck and him pressing and trying to make hard contact every AB instead of taking what the competition gives him and within the flow of the game.

He'll be fine. Him and Correa are the next wave of infield greats.

Could it be he's going through a slump? I'm sure he'll break it out of it
