He has been joining my breaks since February with no issues - sometimes he paid normally, sometimes he used echecks.

He ran up over $1100 in 2017 Bowman breaks in 4 days. He has plenty of hits, but nothing big from the big teams/names.

Sometimes an echeck doesn't clear the first time and Paypal just goes back a couple days later.

This clown canceled all the echecks. He hasn't logged in since he made his last "purchase" and all efforts to get a response have been ignored.

He has a history of creating new accounts and quickly being banned for scamming. He moved around a lot so a new IP was easy - plus international IPs are tricky sometimes.

I'm sure his company would love to know if he is in financial services. I work for a bank (PNC Bank) and hire people in NJ. When working in a bank or any financial services, a person must get bonded (basically insured). Most would not hire or bond someone like this knowing the risks associated with his background. They could possibly fire him at this point as it puts a risk on his bonding.

It is a PayPal payment method. It is up to the seller or breaker to determine whether to accept it or not. It is why a lot of the breakers don't accept eCheck anymore.

I don't think that you can decline e-checks. On Ebay they recommend that you delay sending their purchase(s) until the e-check clears. Breaks are a different enchilada for obvious reasons.

I think that the only way that a break could still work with e-checks is if advance notice is given (say 10 days or so) and those paying for their participation with an e-check must submit their payment by a certain cut-off date (say 7 days prior to the break occuring) or their e-check will be refunded.

Breaker agreed to keep the cards for $x and scammer asks him to pay me instead.

So, breaker pays me and the scammer files on the break payment.

Then what?

(Breaker should refund scammer and scammer should pay me directly.)

For what it's worth, he stopped communicating after that last message and has not paid the $703 he promised to pay by last Friday and then pushed to today. Like I said, I am not holding my breath.

I just wanted to say houdini doesn't just do this to people who have scammed him he also will go hard at anyone who tries to scam people. I just had an experience with a user not mailing my part of a trade. After plenty of attempts on my own I sent a message to houdini asking for help. Help is in understatement. I got my card and the user whom it took getting suspended to complete our deal is now a known attempted scammer. Houdini is the man. Thank you again.

Well, I knew about the Bellinger all along, I just didn't really think about it and honestly had no idea it had climbed to a $300 (or more) card. That combo card was worth like $5 and now it has sold for $75.

I am cleaning up the shop and see his box and think "Maybe he had a Judge chrome or something. So I slide the hits and see the Belly. I think, you know, this might be worth more now...

Once I see eBay completed I think it is time to update the thread.

Then I go through his chome lot and find the rest. I did laugh at the Judges though because I was pretty mad when I realized they used $2500+ worth of Judge paper base to protect chrome base lots. At least I got 4 of those back.

He paid me $375 of the $1100 he owes me, but if I grade the Bellingers I could possibly break even.

This is no lie. I shipped 100+ 2011 Update Trouts as protection cards. Add another 100+ 2010 Bowman Platinum Trouts.

I had over 100 2013 Judge paper that was sorted and bagged that my sorters also used as protection cards this year.
