You don't really care what you get or, for the matter, get excited by a big boy hit. I just don't get. If you have that much money why not buy a crap ton of cases and crack yourself?

Are you referring to someone in particular? I'm not aware of anyone who buys into group breaks and doesn't care what they hit. People in group break chats seem to care a whole lot in the places I break.

We're kind of missing details here.....

And I have high standards for what a big boy hit is, unlike most breakers who go "BOOM" or "MOJOTASTIC" over a $100 hit.

But yes, people generally care if they get skunked or not in a group break unless of course we're talking a super cheap player random where the cost is minimal on a spot or 2.

So, most people dont get excited? Some people dont get excited? A few specific people you know of dont get excited? One person you saw didnt get excited?

Im sure some do. Some dont. That simple.

When i do group breaks, I sure as heck care about hopefully getting a big card. Anything less is a let down, especially for the price paid. I do get a thrill and excitement for it and... addiction at times

Ive done about 5 group breaks. I try to do them on Friday afternoon at work, we throw it up on the big TV in our office, and get super stoked when we pull anything worthwhile.

The only thing that stops me from doing more group breaks is I haven't found any other breakers that have a daytime schedule like mojobreaks. My coworkers get excited even though they don't have cash in the break like me. It is good times.

That sounds awesome, what line of work?

Veterinary radiologist...we have a room with the three of our computer stations plus one large tv on the wall if we need to do all look at everything. Will throw one up at the end of a Friday to end the week and usually get some passerbys from other departments interested.

What about the ones that are never in the group break chat rooms, but are in the breaks? Do you think they care or not?

Generally, EVERYBODY in the group break is excited at the opportunity to take the case hit or a pull a particular card they are chasing.

The thrill of the chase is infinitely more exciting than buying the card on the secondary market.

IMO, the people that aren't excited are usually the very seasoned break veterans that are used to being skunked and know that being skunked is the more likely event than pulling the big boy hit. (like me)

I see boxbreak like lottery. Specially for those cheap random player breaks I used to attend over the past weeks. If I hit sth. you can gain some profit. But if not it dont get me stressed to much as lost wasnt too big.
But even hitting a RPA don t excited me too much. For getting thrilled you need to pull huge cards on your own.

Still waiting on it :D

Hitmasters (and I think also their sister site Liveboxbreaks) do daytime breaks on Tuesdays through to Fridays, I think. They're the only ones that I get to watch live as I'm in the UK (so it's 8pm-10pm for me), and might be worth checking out.

I have a feeling who he is talking about if it is the guy that always buys up most of the breaks at Layton Sports Cards.

Whenever I do a group break, I always hope that I would get at least the same amount of hits that I would have received if I bought the boxes myself, however it is spread out among an entire case or more so of course hoping for more hits. To me, it isn't about the value, it's about the quantity hit, but I of course would be very excited if I got a big hit too.
