I like him, I have a relic card of his, and he sounds like he's pretty good. I've seen him play and he's unstoppable on offense, but I don't know how much a future he has. If you have opinions please help me out.

Thanks!

The way nba is , yes he will ..
2x NBA DPOY
NBA champ
NBA Finals MVP
2x all NBA first team
3x all NBA defense team
Will just be 26 in a week , this is his team and will soon avg mid 20's for about another 4-5 years ,if he stays healthy , he will be a shoe in .

Too early, but another 4-5 years like the last one even without a title and he will be in.

But if he breaks down like Derrick Rose, no.

Needs more years playing but he is on his way.

No it's not, he could retire today and he'd be in the HOF. He's already more accomplished than many players in the HOF. The basketball HOF isn't an exclusive club.

Sure, why not?

Saving this for a better time...

Yes he will. I hope he dethrones that sellout KD in the west

Lol. In all 4 major sports leagues, if you ask if a 26 yr old is a HOFer, I'm pretty sure most will laugh at you if you were to converse with the experts of the sport in question.

I didn't mean to slight Kawhi if that's what your response is saying. I love Kawhi also, and he has accomplished some things, but even if he retired tomorrow, I don't know how well his abbreviated career stands to be HOF material. Yes, accolades, but lacks career milestones or totals via any significant stat.

In other words wait till he's at least past 30. I can see these conversations better when the player's 20s are over.

Yes, along with Ben Simmons(at least according to some on the basketball forum!) :coffee:

Every other finals mvp is in aside from chauncey so far, so im thinking yes to this point

Kawhi is awesome, and he seemed to take it to the next level this season. As a Spurs fan, more importantly, any basketball fan, you cannot forget that insane 4th quarter against Memphis in game 4 of the playoffs when he pretty much took over and hit everything but the final shot of the game.

Dude keeps getting better every season, it's scary. Thank God he's a Spur! :D

Cedric Maxwell.

funny you mentioned his name because there's a dual autograph of Kawhi and Maxwell, very cool card.

Still Salty? Get over it. BACK to the topic, yes he will be even if he doesn't win a chip.

Kawhi already knocked that chip thing out :D

KD remembers because he was salty over it....

I hope he continues his current trajectory. He's a rare player and the one thing missing is the MVP which I think will put him there. Pretty apparent he should be in the running for another 5 years

He did win one, but most Warrior fans wouldn't know since they just started watching once the Warriors started winning. :D

Bandwagon warrior fans that started watching ball in 2016 wouldn't know Kawhi won one before Curry or KD

Without a doubt, if he continues as is and spends the majority of his time with the Spurs and Pop, he could be a top 20 all time player, but there is a lot if time left. Remains to be seen. He's a machine though.

Yes, unless something really big and unexpected happens, which is unlikely. Kawhi has good work ethic (he worked on his skills to go from a limited 15th pick to a perennial MVP candidate) and plays in an organization that takes a long term view and takes care of his career (see Duncan, Robinson, Parker, and Ginobili).

Yes. Have you looked at the basketball HOF. They have ex foot locker employees inducted. It is the most inclusive HOF ever. It should be called the Hall of Pretty Good

Hahahaha. If you don't believe Kawhi is a HOF'er you probably don't take 2+2=4 for data. Luhhh you, David Fizdale.
