2016 Select Orange Tom Brady PSA 10 on eBay

I was looking at this card and noticed that it is 2016, but does not have the security hologram on the PSA label. Checked the population report and there has been only 1 graded (and I currently have another at PSA awaiting grade). Looked at the SOLD listings on eBay and there it is, WITH SECURITY HOLOGRAM, selling back in May. Current one for sale is using the same serial number and has no hologram. He has other PSA plain labeled cards for sale, but some are pre-2015, so who knows. Any other reason for this?

Scanner settings that wiped out the psa hologram would do the trick.

The guy currently selling the card is the same person who bought the one that sold back in May, and both cards are numbered the same... 10/49.

Not sure why the hologram isn't there. It's either just a really bad scan that didn't pick up the hologram, or he had the card re-cased & Panini didn't use a label that had the hologram on it. Older PSA card didn't have the hologram, but that wouldn't make sense in this case.

My guess... shitty scan.

That's interesting to know because I have placed a little bit of a premium on those with the hologram. I like that extra security.

I have seen scanners remove part of the cert on graded cases. Seriously.
