I am going to Las Vegas on Aug 12 for a pool tournament . I will have some spare time while being there for 8 nights. Just looking for any good advice on card shops in the Vegas area . Any info would be great as I have never been there before either.
thanks

Ultimate something or other in Downtown. The guy Jeremy that is on Pawn Stars as an "expert" either owns the store or works there.

I agree, but I have 8 days there. I just want to see the shops there. We don't have hardly any shops in Richmond VA anymore. So why not check them out?

Yup, I agree those are the two. Don't have high expectations, both have their positives and negatives but they're still around so they must be doing more right than wrong.

I highly recommend Legacy, I know a couple of the guys that work there and they are always good to me.

They are not baseball card shops but if you like memorabilia the Art of Music has some pretty cool stuff to look at. Highly overpriced but still cool to look at.
Also, Pete Rose is usually at the Mandala Bay or the MGM grand location. Here is his schedule.

I'll second that. Really good stuff in there, even if it's overpriced and possibly some of it is fake.
Last summer Pete was at the MGM location when I was there, and the demand was so low that you could sit and have a conversation with him as long as you paid for an auto.
I purchased a Harry Caray baseball years ago from a company named American Memorabilia, inc. in Las Vegas. Came, of course, with their COA. Fast forward to now. I decided to sell it on ebay. Sold it, the person who bought it sent it in to PSA to be Auth. Guess what? Fake autograph. I contact American Memorabilia and they basically tell me "not their problem". So, my advice, would be to stay away.

Ultimate is hard to find on Fremont Street. It's near the McDonalds.
The pricing is out of this world on wax. I wonder sometimes if anyone actually buys that stuff at those prices.
People are nice there and it's cool to look around, but I doubt you'll be buying anything.

Legacy is a cool shop, good people. I haven't been to Ultimate in a few years. For a town this size we could definitely support at least 1 more LCS here.

2.1 million people living in the valley.
Smokeys was actually a well stocked place. Shady, but an extensive inventory. Considering the ridiculous population of Targets and Walmarts, you'd think there would be enough card demand to support a shop in one of the places with middle class people and kids.

With the economy humming and the Knights and now Raiders on their way we could definitely support another shop. Jason’s location down by south point was good for the couple years they were open.
