This post is a multi-layered platform for set builders that try to collect every card in /25, /10, & /5 sets. In this post we will:
**NEED HELP COMPLETING**
~~What serial #'d sets are you chasing cards of & pics/info so we can help find cards for your set.
**DEBATE /25, /10, & /5s**
~~Which sets are harder to put together- a /25, a /10, or a /5.
*TALES, GOALS, ADVICE, INFO*
~~The tales behind the cards & how you got them, how many sets you chase at once, what obstacles you've ran into, goals you have for sets & all other thoughts you feel need to be this post.
I hope this post can gather set builders of this type to share & learn info from others, post pics/info of what serial #'d card they need of their set(s) for others to keep an eye on for them, & also have a good 'ol debate on what's harder to complete? A /25, a /10, or a /5 set.
To start it off, I'll go to a set I need help with...

-Does anybody know if Jason's Sportscard World "pdm0714" on , on eBay "seller:dm_dongm", is a member here on the forums or does anybody have a way to contact him, maybe from buying/selling from him on eBay or somewhere on the web? I've GOT 3 OF THE 5 MADE of the 2015-16 Spectra Andrew Wiggins Franchise Fabrics Emerald Green Refractor Patch Card set & stumbled upon him having the 3/5 that he's posted on several sites under Jason's Sportcard World. I have 1/5, 2/5, & 4/5, & boy oh boy wouldn't I love to talk to him & see if he gets my passion toward this set & if he's willing to let me obtain it. He's got so many cards I've 'watched' on eBay & seen the bid end & never knew he was winning them all. His PC is like whoa! But I need to chat w/ him & say that it's a honor to help a collector get the 4th card of a /5 set if he's willing to part w/ "just another card" in his PC that means so much to my goal. I've given such cards to collectors for free or for cheap & love the feeling of being part of someone's chase to build a set. It's great.
*DEBATE /25, /10, & /5 SETS*
-Below is things that have to swing in your favor to put a #'d to /5 set together. Can anybody attest to if it's harder or easier to put a /10 or /25 set together?? I know it's more cards to round up, but does it outweigh the rarity in getting all 5 of a set? The same criteria I outlined below applies to /10 & /25 sets, so is a 3/10 or a 21/25 just as hard as to get all 5 made of a #'d to /5 set???
As I've told & tell many ppl, a #'d to 5 set has so many variables to it to get all 5 of the set. Sure you may get a shot at 2 of em, maybe even 3, but as a worldwide hobby chances are 1 or more of the 5 are:
*DEBATE POINT FOR #'/5
*Pulled/owned by someone who isn't on the internet.
*A parent/family member bought a "expensive" pk. of cards for a child who pulled 1 of the 5 & got it at the bottom of his toybox, in his bicycle spokes, etc., & the card is ruined & never to be had.
**Sitting in a Panini warehouse or card shop in a unsealed pk./box/case yet to be bought for who knows how long & when opened it may be after yrs & yrs & gets sold the one day you're not looking for it after yrs of checking daily.
**Could be in a unsealed pk./box/case that's been purchased by someone who's holding onto it for 10yrs, 20yrs from now on or held for their grandkids & you never get a shot at the card.
**Owned by someone who doesn't want to sell the card. Nice person or not, they want it themselves. They may not admire your passion for the set or player & how much a fan you are of them or your dedication in taking what daily spare time you have & making rounds online on the "X" amount of sets you're trying to complete. Nor does it phase them if you been checking for days months or yrs they don't wanna sell it & don't feel the magic many do by helping others reach card hobby goals.
**Owner of card wants an absurd price for it & won't budge.
**Owner of card may be so busy or out of touch w/ player/set that they don't know what others in the set have sold for & either don't have time or they sell so many cards they don't know the history of your set's card sales & even upon sending them pics of past sales & avg. of card price in the set, they feel it's worth way more than that regardless if the market has spoke on what the cards in the set sold for in the past.
**Owner of card wants absurd price cause you've opened up about how much you've tried & trying to complete set & how much you enjoy finding their card as a missing link & instead of them admiring your passion & daily searching, they use it as a tool & put a steep price on it knowing you gotta go thru them to get the card & you either then, or down the road, have to pay their price just to get the card for your set.
*DEBATE POINT FOR /10 & /25
-The same criteria I outlined below applies to /10 & /25 sets, so is a 3/10 or a 21/25 just as hard as to complete a set as getting all 5 of 5 in a set? I know it's more cards to round up, but does it outweigh the rarity in getting all 5 of a set?
I'm chasing two /25 sets, a /10 & a /5 set right now, & feel like I'd feel more rewarded if I could get all 5 of a card though the other sets have more cards to collect. What do you think is harder? I go with /5 because of the quantity & hard to even get a few of the /5 of most sets.
*TALES, GOALS, ADVICE, INFO*
-Some admire your passion & work into how far you've got completing the set, I've had cards given to me for free of the admiration of the card they have for my set, had ppl sell me card for what they paid for it or if pulled just go by the avg. I've put forth of that card's sales history, but I've also had ppl who took advantage of knowing if I wanted the card I had to go thru them & their price. Got 3 cards as we speak that's being "held hostage " by an absurd price & owner has no care in my hobby love. Most aren't like that, but some are. I have so much more to add but will leave this be & hope to see some member's sets they're bldg. & how we can help. Wanna hear other's exp. in which is harder to build, a set #'d to /25, /10, or a set of only /5 made. The 3rd part of tales, advice, & stories of set collecting is always a great read. Hope we can give thread some love & get some sets closer to finished!
Wanted: Andrew Wiggins cards, preferably patch cards
