View Full Version : A trick I just learned about bgs submissions....

I have a 9 card submission outstanding including a few that I was pretty hyped about.
The deadline for grading them is tomorrow, but I thought I'd look at the population report. When looking at it, I also looked at the last few that have been graded of each individual card. Several of the cards are pretty low numbered so I was able to figure out that mine - that I won't officially find out about until tomorrow - have already graded. 8 of the 9 have been graded. Not sure why the other one hasn't been. Hopefully it's okay.
Anyways, for those of you who can't wait like me.... this is kind of a cool way to save a day or two on finding out about your rare cards.
Although the graded card number is visible if you go in through the PO report, you can't use the graded card number lookup function to search for it, which is a little weird.

That's a cool trick, wish I'd known about that on my last submission when I was checking the "my grading orders" section daily!

Try varying the serial numbers by a digit or two of the ones you found. Sometimes you can find the missing one that way (it's in the system and available by serial number, but not yet part of the pop report).

I believe this has changed. I am finding cards in the pop report that you can't look up by number.
I'll share an example in a bit.

I stand corrected waiverwire.... by entering the number in the URL, it does work.... but also now it works in the "graded card lookup" area as well.
But yeah, I have all 9 cards grades. Nice to save a day (or in this case had I checked Friday, 3 days).
Some good, some bad, pretty typical.
Here's a pretty good one.

So how many days are cards graded in advance of deadline date?

Can't say for sure. But in this case, at least one business day. Might not always be that way.
