Got home and was happy to find a package from Beckett waiting for me. I already knew it was there.... I have been tracking this one like crazy!

This is my very favorite kind of mailday. It checks all of my boxes. Exquisite. Rare 90s inserts. Rare jazz rookies....

And a cornerstone of the collection kind of card.

To be clear, I've had each of these cards for varying amounts of time. This is a BGS mailday.... but it is still a great feeling when everything gets back to you in one piece.

Behold..... my diverse mailday.

Cards one and two are important for one reason. Rudy gobert is the man. He has shared the (modest) spotlight with that guy who left to Boston - what was his name again??? - but now it's time to crush it.

Next we have truly one of the single rarest MJ bulls refractors in existence. Print run unknown, but a darn tough card to find. As discussed in the "Michael Jordan refractor" thread.... 1996 topps stars atomic refractor.

Next, my one and only lebron auto. I just can't get enough of 2004 exquisite auto patches. I'm a total sucker. It's just the best set ever.

For our next act we go to the land of the PMG. Where everybody knows your name, and nr-mt-mint is plenty a-ok. Strong subs too.

Wow, absolutely unreal mailday! Rodman PMG is my favourite of the bunch, though.

Remember when the Nuggets traded Gobert for Erick Green and some cash? I hated that trade on draft night, and hate it even more now. It's all I think about whenever I see Rudy now. I have to remind myself that the Nuggets may not have drafted Jokic, had they not traded Gobert. It's the only way I'm able to find peace in that trade.

Also, I miss listening to your podcast on my drive to work. Hopefully you plan on bringing it back sometime in the future.

A brilliant mix! Have to say my favourite is the 02-03 refractor.
Those 02-03, and 03-04 /25 gold refractors are the purest cards.

Gobert's auto though - matches the look on his face!!

Interesting that several liked the Rodman the most. I like it too…. Just not as much as those top few.

Man, that Gobert trade. Thank you. I know he was already All NBA second team last year, but we’re hoping for even bigger things this year. Hoping for something similar with the Donovan Mitchell trade. Hopefully Trey Lyles works out for you guys. SO SO SO much talent. Just gotta put it together.

Can’t tell you how much I appreciate the mention on the podcast. It was such a fun experiment. I loved doing it. Life’s just a little too crazy though…. And Soundcloud requires $150 a year. If I had time, I would have kept doing it though…. Who knows, maybe when my kids are grown up.

What’s up man? That’s honestly my favorite question of them all. See that left edge though…. I probably should have tried to roll out those tiny nicks with a fingernail or something….. I understand the grade, but thought it had a real chance to be the second Gem Mint card graded. I thought it was pretty awesome until I looked at Nat Turners collection online... he has the 9.5 lol. At least my corner sub beat his. hahaha. I’ve never resubmitted something and I don’t think I will. In general though, I was very happy with the condition when I received it. Most of these have issues with the surface and corners. It’s about as good as I could have hoped for, and for a card that just doesn’t ever surface, I feel great about that.

Kinda? Don’t worry, your favorite Eminence projects are still in full swing it’s just become next to impossible to find what I need at this point. So I’ve slowed quite a bit. I asked BO’s opinion on which Jordan inserts were “best” a few months ago, and got all sorts of awesome answers. Also got a lot of flack too, but in general, that helped me quite a bit in several ways. Lets just say that I appreciate everyones opinion, and that contrary to popular belief, telling people on BO what you’re loking for often works out for you….. I will leave it at that.

Good call. One of the greatest things about the set. Not only is it the single rarest MJ insert of the 90s, it’s also the only die cut serial number that I know of. The /250 versions are also NICE, but they are just numbered on the back.

Agreed but all three still look darn good in person especially in the right light. One thing for sure is that they're certainly more conservatively priced when compared with other jordan refractors of similar print run.
