View Full Version : Does Lebron James have a wide variation in his autographs?

I am currently in the market for a Lebron James autograph, and I ran across these two (past) auctions:

1. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-14-UD-Exquisite-Signature-Kicks-LeBron-James-AUTO-27-35-NM-MT-ff22891-/382241820016?hash=item58ff634d70:g:mfoAAOSwK89Z0svF

2. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-14-UD-Exquisite-Signature-Kicks-LeBron-James-AUTO-12-35-NM-MT-ff22890-/382241819851?hash=item58ff634ccb:g:BIAAAOSwFuxZ0svC

Both of these autos are from the 2013-2014 UD Exquisite Signature Kicks set. I can understand seeing autos change over time, but these autos changed drastically over 15 cards.

Is this normal for Lebron autos?

The 12/35 looks consistent with his other autos from that year. I would steer clear of the other one.

Now my eyes are hurting, was the 27/35 signed upside down?

I agree, the 12/35 looks the most consistent. I am not sure if it was signed upside down, but the 27/35 looks vastly different.

I was just trying to figure out if that was normal for Lebron autos.

I've seen maybe 4 or 5 different LeBron autos, it has changed quite a bit since he was at SVSM but I've never seen anything close to the 27/35

That's crazy, and doesn't even look kosher to me viewed upside-down (so props to LeBron for not signing a card upside down, ha). And, there's no logical excuse for how a bad auto could get onto an authentic UD card (no bankruptcy copies for UD) unless somebody literally cleanly wiped the original autograph off and replaced with some other random squiggles?

As I think was alluded to earlier, how could there be such a deviance between two cards from the same set numbered to 35???

That's what me question investing in a Lebron Auto. I don't want to spend a lot of money and have another Shaq situation.

But it seems like this is an aberration and not a a normal occurrence. That gives me a little more confidence in buying his autos.

Lebron has changed autos about 10 times. He has about 10 autos no joke going back to SVSM until now.
