Most underrated patch sets ever

Simple enough thread premise. What do you guys think is the most underrated game used patch set? Set can be from Panini, Upper Deck, Topps, etc. doesn't matter. Full disclosure, I'm looking for a cool patch to snag using some comc funds I've got. The better the patch, the cheaper the price, the happier I'll be.

I always thought the 05’06 SPGU Patch set was nice.

Simple and clean.

Definitely a nice set but probably not underrated. Those sold for some good numbers back in the day.

I would have to say the 12-13 Brilliance game time patches /25 are slightly underrated but not by the prices I see on COMC.

Gorgeous card and design. But a bit too similar to Exquisite patch subsets of the past to really stand out, imo.

Steve, the All-Star Patch insert set looks nice, but it's all Event Worn isn't it? Perhaps that could explain the price.

I was going to say that as well. Those cards were very well rated back then. When patches became increasingly more commonplace, the popularity dwindled. That and you just don't see them anymore!

For me one of the nicest sets recently has been 2013-14 Panini Titanium Elements. The Prime and Tag versions have some incredible patches and they're often available at reasonable asks.

Extra Exquisite is my favorite patch set of all time ,but I loved Panini Gold Standard Black Gold patch set until they went crazy and made each new release a copycat version.

This would have been my pick. This was the set that started it all with the long, rectangular patch windows and I remember out the gate they were selling like hot cakes. I sold a Hedo Turkoglu for $60.. Hedo Turkoglu! Gold Standard's Black Gold, NT, Court Kings, Titanium.. they all copied this set once Panini realized how popular they were.

I'm the same way. The Court Kings Performance Art Prime set is one of my absolute favorites every year (although 2016-17 was a step backwards).

This is also precisely why I'm so excited to get that Kendrick Perkins Titanic Prime /5. They wore those jerseys 1 time, on Christmas day back in 2012. The patches from those shorts are really freaking cool. You can pinpoint exactly where the patch comes from on the shorts, which is awesome.

Those are definitely cool but I'd prefer larger patches. Panini also did these last year. I picked up a couple cheap players just because I think the set is really cool.

2013-14 Titanium had some amazing patch sets across the board. I was chasing this Gamers Prime set for a while before moving on from it.

These are highly unknown and underrated. If you look at the certification on the back they are actually certified to be worn by the actual player and date. Not only that but the cards provide the stat line for that game. I wish all jersey/patch cards could be like this!

Panini has been really good about this with the Stat Line set, over all of its different incarnations. I've got this Joe Johnson from 2014-15 Preferred, where they started making them booklets.

SteveO21: Those are sweet as well! Panini hasn't made one for my PC players yet so I haven't picked one up, but hopefully soon they will.
