Rookie RPA cards?

So I have heard the top three to look for a rookie are National Treasures RPA, Contenders and Topps Chrome. For the national treasures RPA does it matter if it's the booklet? New to collecting and trying to figure this all out.

Yes it matters. The True NT RPA normally carry the most value... you don't want the variations horizontal or booklets. For Contenders you normally want the lowered numbered ones like the Cracked Ice etc over the base it carries more value. As for Chrome you also want color variations and refractors over base.

Booklets aren’t very desirable to me but everyone has their own taste. I’d much rather have the base /99 RPA.
