They will go to the SB according to many who say coaching is why Brady is so good....:)!

That’s right... lose one SB and turn on him. Sounds about right.

He will have better defensive talent, so I think they will enjoy him

That defense was not prepared...all I'm saying. Philly had an amazing gameplan, but guys were miles wide open all night.

The Pats suck deflated Brady balls against the RPO. They don't have the personnel to defend it.

The offenses that have given the Pats trouble for the longest time involve lateral speed, that is something the Eagles have in bunches on offense.
No amount of "preparation" can replace personnel for one specific game.

Wha? Drinking? In Canada? In February?! You speak madness sir and I will have none of it!

Lol @ This thread. I can taste the saltiness through my phone. Most lions fans including myself consider Patricia a huge upgrade over Caldwell. This game won't change that.

Sent from my SM-G950U using TapatalkLol. A little. Just frustrating when you're sitting on the couch calling out the plays and your team gives up 20 yards on them...I expected more I guess.

Sent from my Moto G (4) using TapatalkI totally understand believe me. That is me every week watching the lions. Pats defense has very little talent and they started the season as one of the worst defenses in NFL. I think Patricia/belichik worked miracles with what they have. We know belichik is a defensive wiz but we will have to see how much of that Patricia picked up on. I am very confident the lions will be better off with Patricia as HC but only time will tell.

Would be funny to see a Patricia led Lions team face off with the Belichick led Patriots in a Superbowl.

Where the crap was Malcolm Butler?
You cannot tell me the defense would have been WORSE with Butler in there

I don’t think he changes the game. Everyone was open for both teams.

I'll be curious to see if the "bend but don't break" crap is Belichick or Patricia. 29th in yards allowed but 5th in points.
That type of defense drives me nuts.

I think this is Belichick’s philosophy, the Pats never had a defense that blows up receivers or consistently pressures the QB, they don’t blitz much. He’d rather give up tons of yards. Once they get in the redone the field shortens up. Belichick’s best defense has been a high powered offense, go up 2-3 scores then the other team needs to pass and the D can tee off on them.
Last night the game was back and forth and the Eagles kept the Pats D off balance, they couldn’t turn the Eagles into a one dimensional team. The Eagles threw the kitchen sink at them! The Giants controlling the clock kept Brady off the field and they beat the Pats twice. If the Eagles could have been stopped ONCE in the 4th quarter the Pats probably would have won.

Sure they did...before Polian cried and had the rules changed. The 2001-2004 defenses were swarming.

Did the strip sack anger you at all?It was disappointing sure. But to be in the position itself was a product of very bad defense for 4 quarters.

I am excited to get him there! He knows how to make adjustments....do you remember what the Pat's D looked like at the beginning of the season? It finally caught back up with them at the most inopportune time last night. No idea why Butler was benched. From what I read it was a performance thing?

From what I read it was a performance thing? And in week 9 it came to light that with all the new players on def, the problem was communication. So why in the world do you take Butler out and use safeties to cover those quick slot receivers. New mix..I don't know. I think we are right to question this decision.

Hate to say it, but if the Pats defense was so horrible, they wouldn't have made it to the Super Bowl. Lackluster? May be, but you still need a good defense to make it in the NFL. Can't blame the D coordinator on the loss.
I mean, Patriots ranked 31st in Defensive DVOA this season.

They faced Mariota and Bortles in the AFC playoffs. They were going to the Super Bowl no matter what.
I have serious reservations about this hire for the Lions and that was before last night's game.

Baby steps. Lions first need to focus on getting their second Playoff W in over 60 years.
