I've been slowly chipping away at one of my favorite sets of the 90's for about 20 years now. I pulled my first one, Terrell Owens, in 1997 after getting a Score pack at K-Mart. I love the way these look and never thought I'd ever see the day when I'd actually be this close to finishing off the entire set. Just 10 to go after picking this one up. It's 330 card set with 1-2 inserted per box. Just brutal odd when you consider how expansive the parallel set is. This is what just arrived today!

Burbank is interesting, I will say that. I offered them $8.50 on a Jim Druckenmiller card they have listed for $12. I guess they really want to wait until his mother decides to pay closer to full price. Having said that, I'll probably pass on their $8 Jeff Blake card.

Burbank has a lot of cards that I need for my PC player, but their prices are so dang high. They're higher than what the cards normally sell for. And they never seem to sell anything. I see the same cards of my PC guy listed over and over and over and over and...you get the point.

I would bite, but their prices are just too high.

burbank is a book value based selling business... they sold a 97 barry sanders ex essential credentials for 100 bin a few weeks ago... last 3 auctions have been 400 plus. i have got some good deals here and there but everything is based around or some multiplier of guide value for them

They have Bruschi too, listed for $15 but I have had success offering about 2/3-70% with them and getting it accepted...worth a shot, the Bruschi is pretty tough to find since he is popular with Pats fans and he has very few cards from 96/97-they’re all tucked away in collections I think

Thanks for the heads up. They must have added some inventory recently, because they didn’t have that, or the Woodson, in my prior searches!

As someone who knows book values like the back of his hand, I honestly love the ability to get deals from BV-based sellers because of the rare cards that sell for full book or more. People complain about those that only use BV, but there are ways to take advantage of that.
