Eagles ran fake walkthrough before Super Bowl in case Patriots were watching.

I guess better try everything just in case. Crazy that they didn’t trust the Patriots. :)

“I believe our whole walkthrough was just a complete fake walkthrough,” Lovato said. “We did it at the stadium. There were certain people walking around ... I believe I overheard someone say a lot of the plays we were running weren’t even in the playbook for the Super Bowl.”

Even the now-famous “Philly Special” wasn’t practiced in the stadium, with Lovato saying the Eagles went over that two weeks before the Super Bowl.

Wonder if this is true or not?

None of this is shocking, why would you give away your game plan in the stadium itself? I'm sure they aren't the first and certainly won't be the last, whoever the opponent is.

should be fairly easy to prove or disprove....


just compare the plays they actually ran in the game to the videotape the patriots took of the walk through :)!

If a team has to make all its practices secret because they know youre a habitual cheater it just proves the point that nobody trusts the patriots

I missed where the Eagles made all of their practices secret. Can you please link that?

I heard Mike Holmgren talk about doing this exact thing.
He said in an interview I listened to, that they routinely ran fake plays in practice.
