I prefer on-card, but not every release has that. It literally doesn't matter. Prizm appears to be THE hottest cards that arent high-end, and its a 100% sticker release. Also, topps, upper deck and others were/are mostly sticker based. If you buy or dont buy based on stickers, that's on you. Enjoy your limited choices.

I've already moved on to baseball. Have 6 boxes of Heritage and 8 boxes of Donruss Baseball on pre-order. :D

I have. Tired of Optic though. Contenders is saturated, really ugly this year and it costs a fortune for Playoff, Super Bowl, or cracked ICE, NT is cool...but late...and $500 for 8 cards.

Select, IMO, has the best Chrome-like overall card design. And I'm a graphic artist by trade, so aesthetics of card matter to me...probably more than the auto format.

And this hobby does not have a good design = high demand/value component. It's entirely based on rep and brand legacy. Its tough for me to buy a Trubisky Playoff Ticket for that cost when the card is so ugly of a design, simply because the masses like it. I'll grab a Trubisky Select Tie-dye Auto in a second over that.

But sticker autos aren't a "problem" for everyone. It might not be the most ideal situation, but no choice if you want an auto in that set. If someone blows up, while the on card Autos certainly rise in price more, it's not like the sticker autos are worthless or don't go up as well.

Prizm Autos & Optic autos essentially go for just about the same price. Sometimes Prizm for more, even w/ sticker. So I personally am not going to be a stickler for this, I just make sure I have some on card autos

Brand recognition, on card autos, no patches because we just don't know. Don't forget about PSA 10's.

Just because we may like a certain set because it's pretty to us, doesn't mean it will have value. I don't even like contenders but they sell very well.

Agreed, I am not a huge fan of Contenders but it's "the 1st" card everyone looks for IMO.

I like Select but like Spectra it isn't the 1st choice or even the 3rd or 4th especially when Topps was rolling out TC & BC & Platinum & Finest.

I suppose that depends upon how one feels about Trubisky. I'm of the opinion he's gonna be a top QB, not die down, so after next year would be like buying Wentz or Watson now. I feel it'd be best to just wait until the middle of the offseason.

For the Contenders ticket, it used to have a better design. The Derek Carr Contenders RC's are beautiful. This year's design blows. And that matters to me.

I personally think that Select has lower value because it's after all the other shiny product...only the die-hard football folk hang around...but I dunno, a Wentz tie-dye auto will still cost you a pretty penny. Hell, the non-autos went from like $35 to $150 last year. And they also technically have the first RCs in pro uniforms with their XRC line.

I opened a few boxes and to me honestly I could care less for most of the autos. It's the tie-dye, gold and emerald that I am all in on. The silver prizm field level cards look amazing in person and is one of the few sets I'll likely try to put together.

Select reminds me a lot of Bowman sterling in baseball. A lot of similarities to big brother(Chrome draft and prizm respectively) and none of the respect. If this product was released before prizm it would like be one of the go to products unfortunately for resale it isn't.

With that being said the five boxes I had yielded 7 cards /25 or less and the different colo parallels are really nice looking. This is definitely a product to collect versus to try and flip.

It actually appears everyone is scoring well with this product. Perhaps Panini's loading it with good stuff to attempt to get it popular? I mean, look at the box and case breaks...

I'd be interested in seeing that Trubisky and Mariota.
