I love rooting underdog too, but..... Seahawks may have "earned" a playoff spot but they haven't and won't "earn" the right to continue any farther!

The Seahawks might be able to beat the Saints if they could borrow players from the rest of their division. Even then, it would be close. But since they can't, I think the Saints drop them easy.

I heard a story one time not too long ago about some visiting birds taking on some giants.

Legend has it that with under 8 minutes left in the contest, the birds were down BIG to the mighty Giants on the giants turf. Before it was all said and done however, the birds mounted a miraculous comeback defeating those giants in a contest that some say rivaled David and Goliath.

Do I hear whispers from those that fell that day chanting..."don't count your chickens before they hatch"?

Congratulations SEAHAWKS! As said during the game, "One of the greatest comebacks in NFL Playoffs history." CAN YOU BELIEVE IT. As for the Lynch Cards lets see 'em, would love a couple more. Behind a better O-line (hopefully due to the draft) him and Forsett can really wreak havoc next year. 7-9 is ugly, I know, but this team has changed so much every week, I think Carroll love him or hate him is doing some good things here. A new young QB to learn under brokenbac.. err.. I mean Hasselbeck (surely seeing some PT due to injury to Hasselbeck) could be exciting.

...One more thing, wouldn't it be weird to get the Bears for the next game?? How far could this really go if the Seahawks play like they did last time they played. Worst record in the playoffs in history, maybe they wont go to a Super bowl, but people might take a second look.

Exactly, and I mean I hate to be the type that looks ahead, but just for thought, what kind of uproar would it cause if the Seahawks play and beat the Bears, and end up in the NFC championship game at .500? Now the kicker, what if they won CONVINCINGLY and deserved to be in the game? Crazy but fun year for football.

Don't be surprised if the league changes the rules so that the team with the better record always gets the home game.

Saints team IS more athletic anyways, home field advantage is more of a factor in 2 teams that are close in talent and coaching.

Saints Defense played flat, and IMO the Seattle coaching staff did a great job. Hats off to the Seahawks team and coaches, they played well, saints played like crap.... but i dont attribute it to Home field advantage entirely.
