Had a blast at Spring Training watching these young guys. There will be some ups and downs, but I am stoked to watch some Marlins baseball. The team seems to be enjoying each other on and off the field with no egos, hopefully they can bond and start something special. Let's Go Fish!

There will be some definite growing pains but there is a lot of young talent here and the ship is heading (Slowly) in the right direction. I'm excited to see Riddle, Realmuto, and Straily when they get back. Let's hope Despaigne can help get the team going today.

Brinson/Castro/Anderson/Maybin had it going, the rest not so much. Bour killed our momentum several times with bad outs/Ks. Richards looked fine but that one inning got of control when we were a few inches from being out of it on a grounder and drives just past Anderson's glove. They kept fighting though, I think we'll be alright if we get Realmuto back in there. Gotta find a way to get the W today vs. Sale. Hopefully Urena bounces back.

To be fair Stanton is wiffing big time right now, Yelich is hurt, so we kinda dodged a bullet there (along with Phelps/Koehler injuries). Dietrich/Castro are hitting so Ozuna/Dee missing isn't a huge deal. It's Bour/Brinson/Catcher spot that are just killing us right now. If Bour doesn't get going soon we're gonna need to bring up Van Slyke or someone who can at least put the ball in play.

The pitching is actually holding up somewhat well, they just are not getting it done at the plate. We've had chances in most of these games though, so it's not like we aren't being competitive at least. Realmuto's bat in the lineup will be huge.

Yeah I don’t have a huge problem with pulling Jarlin, he wasn’t going the distance anyway. Guerrero shouldn’t hit people and O’Grady didn’t get the job done. Finding ways to lose, credit the Mets with battling back all series. Need more than 1 run to win games usually. C’mon Fish.

Brinson needs to be sent down probably should have never made the MLB team after spring training. He seems to want swing for the fences every at bat. He needs some tuning down and the best place for him is New Orleans right now

Stanton Ozuna And Yelich have all had slow starts but in the end they will produce I would put Stecky and Bearclaw up there with some of the best bullpen arms in the game today I love Bearclaws swagger on the mound kinda like the late El Niño

He's an interesting case, he's proven at AAA, had a great spring, and could potentially be the face of the franchise for years to come...so I think they are just being super patient with him and letting him work through it. He's actually been on base the last 8 games I think and I thought his approach is getting better. I've always heard you need 200 ABs to fully evaluate someone, and he's about halfway there. He's an elite defender so it's risk/reward.

I'm wondering what we are going to do when Riddle comes back, which could be this weekend. Rojas has played great and can move around we but we have Prado at 3B, Castro at 2B, and Bour at 1B. I almost hate to see Miguel move into the utility role, but that may be the case. Hoping Shuck goes down. It's been nice having Prado/Realmuto back in the lineup, amazing what happens when you have good hitters in your lineup!

@Skodie I don’t want anything to do with Harvey. We got Sandy coming May 15th, Richards threw another gem, Peters can still go, and Gallen has been pitching decent. Our bullpen has been good, we just gotta score runs.

4th straight series win in a row! 13-20, identical record as last year which goes to show you how much pitching matters. Let’s keep it rolling in Chicago! Riddle should replace Rivera very soon, hopefully someone steps up and replaces Shuck soon, I’d like to see Austin Dean get a shot he’s raking in AA/AAA so far.

Thomas Jones has looked pretty good in his six games for Greensboro (A) this season. Has four HR's in 24 AB's ....he only had two HR's in 238 AB's last season at Batavia. Also has six SB's compared to seven all of last season. Finally starting to flash the tools we had in mind when drafting him. Definitely worth keeping an eye on him.

Same record as the Dodgers despite almost 100million dollar difference in payroll... LOL. Also compared to last year, we have 1 more win at this same moment which is crazy. It's amazing we win any games when you look at our offensive stats/pitching stats, we're dead last in pretty much every category. Our coaching staff should get much more credit than they do.

We can now see Alcantara at any time, we also have Richards, and Conley has been throwing well. Our AAA team is killing it. Gotta #Re2pectTheProcess!

Not trying to be a Debbie downer but a lot of the season is still left doubt very seriously this team finishes with a better record than the team last year. I would've brought Conley in for the final out for sure, but you never know what kind of data they were looking at, or they could've pinch-hit,etc. Guy could've been awful vs. velocity, or Nieves thought he could get him. Tayron has to develop a breaking ball that he can throw for a strike, people are just sitting on his fastball because that's all he can throw for strikes.

They had a lead-off triple with 0 outs, and couldn't score, and the pitching staff gave up 8 runs... it's hard to win when you can't execute. And then Riddle's gotta make a better throw, and that's a ball Rojas scoops 99% of the time. Just a bad way to lose for a number of reasons, but they had opportunities.

I would've brought Conley in for the final out for sure, but you never know what kind of data they were looking at, or they could've pinch-hit,etc. Guy could've been awful vs. velocity, or Nieves thought he could get him. Tayron has to develop a breaking ball that he can throw for a strike, people are just sitting on his fastball because that's all he can throw for strikes.

They had a lead-off triple with 0 outs, and couldn't score, and the pitching staff gave up 8 runs... it's hard to win when you can't execute. And then Riddle's gotta make a better throw, and that's a ball Rojas scoops 99% of the time. Just a bad way to lose for a number of reasons, but they had opportunities.

I don't ever really blame the managers, as the great Yogi Berra said "You know what makes a good manager? Good players." Boone's looking like a genius, never coached a day in his life lol.

Well the only reason I mention Mattingly is this same situation as came up couple times where he just left the pitcher out there too long including Starting pitchers

Yup Sandy was dealing! Obviously not a good season in the W/L column but I have enjoyed watching the young guys.

Agreed!!! Haven't been on here much and not allot to celebrate.. However did get to see all the new guys we drafted (Scott,Banfield,Johnson and Pompey) play here in Greensboro for a few games. All very hungry and seem very excited to play! Plus it's always nice to get there Autographs :flex: Trevor Rogers wasn't that bad either! Nice guy and super friendly he won't be in Greensboro for too long next season...which is always good to see them move up..
