How the Beathard got a 9 on centering and the Brissett got an 8.5. I mean wtf BGS. Apologize for the sideways photo. Not sure why it uploads that way.

Almost looks to me like the entering on the brissett is off a little top to bottom as well, maybe that's the difference?

The beathard is like 80/20 on the sides

I'd rather you compare two of the same cards. However, at the end of the day, BGS and PSA offer opinions.

Cards are both off center by at least 90 degrees. They look sideways. How do these cards get past Panini QC?

It’s an opinion from some guy that hates his job right now at BGS because they are back logged so much. Just remember it’s an opinion and nothing about the grading company matters. They give out good grades like this all the time. Just buy the card and not the grade. Grading is a joke anyways. You’re paying extra money for some knuckleheads opinion.

The Jacoby is way left of the right dude, or bottom to top bye your pics!
Your lucky your Beathard wasn't in the same boat too.

These two threads should sum up the grading thing for you. Read both threads thru. Just tread lightly. There is some members here who have a ton of money invested in graded cards and they get all sorts of buttsore if you show pictures like this because it calls all graded cards into question.

PSA and BGS graders absolutely do NOT buy lower grade cards and get them graded higher and sell them a for nice profit. We all know that would be unethical and just plain wrong. Nobody would do such a thing to make money. If it did happen, and if favors were done for others then the market for graded cards would be adversely affected. No, never happens. Only conspiracy theorists would ever think that such things could happen.:)!

I could see grading BGS just for the protection

Both look O/C to me. If anything, you got very lucky on the 1/1.

Graded at the same time? Maybe the grader took a smoke break and when he came back in forgot where he left off.

The Prizm should have been an 8.5 on centering. Maybe even an 8 if the grader was having a bad day.

I have a couple of 1/1s graded for this very reason.

Geez, you show that card everyday. lol. We all know you hate grading and think the grading companies are pure evil but the fact is, people make mistakes, typos etc. There is also bad apples from time to time. That is with every company in the world. Hell I dont like BGS too much anymore myself but I expect people to make errors etc from time to time. But just like any company or person, if you only talk about the errors they made, even if its less then 1% of the time, that company/person will look bad.

WOW....That is terrible. Almost makes you think they gave it a bad grade on purpose so the owner would send it back in and pay yet again to get it graded. I mean, there is no financial incentive in that for PSA to do that on purpose is there? But hey, what do I know:confused:

Ok, heres the thing. This card may be a bad example because anyone with two eyes can see this is a bad grade. But what about the Gold Odell with the scratches that got a 9.5 with a 10 surface. Someone may buy this card thinking they are getting a true Gem Mint 9.5 Gold Odell auto.
That is pretty unfair to a buyer dont you think? Maybe by posting cards like this and threads like this someone will do thier homework and make sure they are getting a card that is properly graded.
If you paid huge money for that Odell and then found out it had that scratch, would you be mad? I am pretty sure you would.
I am just trying to help keep people aware. Thats all. I am going to continue to comment on and post every bad grade I see.

Alright, I also think they take the centering measurements from the corners and not were it flares out in the middle.
