These Facebook exclusive games are such a pain. I pay good money for the baseball package so I can watch any game I want in HD on my 65" TV without worrying about having a FB login, buffering, cutting off due to inactivity, etc.

It does seem pretty silly that the game is exclusively available via Facebook. Just make it available "in addition to". Why complicate the process for your best customers?

Simple... $$$$$$. Facebook pays MLB enough of it to allow the process to be complicated or annoying to who's watching.

If I had to guess it could have been negotiated that Facebook isn't the sole provider of the broadcasts and MLB still get the same amount of money.

If Facebook would't be the sole provider, they would not pay the same money. If multiple avenues air game, less people on Facebook watching it. (I agree with you, I don't like it either but mlb liked the money lol)

I'm just saying that I think the MLB had more leverage than they thought. Facebook is obviously trying to bite into the Hulu/Netflix/Youtube market. My guess is they played some, "bring a younger crowd to baseball" angle and MLB fell for it. I highly doubt anyone is falling in love with baseball to do the ability to like and comment. Maybe I'm just old though :D

Worst part of Facebook is seeing all the blowhards commenting on things they know nothing about since they have an audience.

hmm must've been on a strict pitch count. Pulled after 4 scoreless.

Might be an injury, had a mound visit where the trainer came out, finished the inning and got pulled.

I really think it was just situational.
72 pitches, 0-0 game, man on 3rd 1 out, I think Metheny wanted to try and take an early lead before Milw went to that # 1 MLB bullpen.
(He did struggle with his control today)
I think if nobody was on base he would have pitched 1 more inning.

Yahoo is reporting an injury and he’s already listed DTD with an update coming

Oh vey! (I still think he would have been pinch hit for there, but that sucks)

Pretty big velocity drop too. 97 to 91. He through a decent amount of innings in rehab. Hopefully it’s something to do with muscle exhaustion.

He says he's fine... Hopefully thats the truth.

I'm hearing he didn't have good command when throwing hard, so he intentionally dialed it back
Was getting exited for this guy to be back. I'm guessing everything is fine and it's just that this was first first time back in the MLB in over a year, so they're easing him in. Hoping that's the case as well
