2014 Topps Update Betts - Sell or Hold

I have a problem, I have too many cards and never know what I have... I was looking for some cards that I sold and came across a 3200 Count box labeled 2014 Topps Update, and then realized that Betts was in it. After I did a quick eBay search I realized that they were going for a good chunk of change, $30 range and up for some. To think I was selling team sets for $6 back then with no buyers. That being said and the fact I really have nothing invested in these cards except time in the closet and looking at the fact that Trout sells for $300, I know he has a few MVPs under his belt, do I just put em back into the closet and wait or cash in. I think at best they would grade a 9 as I wasn't the most careful when I opened cases and I have a terrible eye for grading. I've lost my shirt a few times not keeping up with players and how well they were doing so I'd like to stay ahead of the game once.

Yeah, I just pulled em, had a feeling there is room for growth. Any recommendations as far as grading, again, I have a terrible eye for grading and rather not waste money on a bunch of PSA 8s.

I have a gold and blue US26, 2 base, chrome, and US301 red hot foil, gold, and walmart at PSA right now. I'm holding until the playoffs, when he gets back from the DL and gets back to being on the news and featured in more articles the prices are going to shoot up higher.

I went digging through my baseball stars & Rookies box about a month ago and happily found a 301 Red Foil, 2 Base 26, and 2 Walmart Blue 26. Now I remember why I would always buy the discounted blasters at Kmart for 11.99. Too bad they only ever got the Walmart leftovers. Don’t think I’ve ever gotten Target reds from there. Needless to say I only have the 2 Base left.

Sold all mine back when they were worth a buck or so :doh: I'd probably hold right now as he's on the DL, but sell at least some during a hot streak later on this year

I sold too early on the camo’s but you can never lose money when you take a profit. I’d take a profit on any parallels, and hold onto base options for now.

Finally did something smart. Bought a few Heritage RC PSA 10’s and a few Update RC PSA 10’s at the tail end of ST. Everything under $40 each. For once I’m on the right side, but I’ll probably still hold as I think they continue to rise.
