Haven’t seen him in many All-Star predictions but he gets my vote. Very underrated!

Definitely not the most underrated but maybe the luckiest. Almost zero plate discipline with the same amount of walks as homeruns. He’s up there hacking his brains out. He is in the middle of his first of what should be his prime 4 years in the league. By 2022 he will be in the decline and he has barely done anything before. He is getting acknowledged by Espn etc.. but anybody scooping up his cards better be buying to sell short term to people who don’t understand baseball.

Yea, at $9 pop its worth the gamble short term. Worst case scenario I break even.

I'm not as confident as the guy who just bought a orange for $600 lol

*Trevor Story's can make ya bank. Remember when he broke out? 191ks to end the that season lol

Lucky doesn't hit .312/14/43 (after hitting what, .230, coming into May) after a full season of .290/27/78

Are all players that don't walk much "lucky" ?

I think he'll be a 285 25-30 90 guy ,but he could bulk up a bit. That 3 homerun game with a walk off was awesome ,but he does need back off the swinging for the fences approach like a majority of MLBers these days.

I’ve thought about buying him for years but I’m wondering if his prices are not even going up now what’s he gotta do to make em go up to at least $30 a base auto. I wonder if an all star appearance this year is enough.

Edit, they’ll definitely be $30 with an all star appearance. Just checked eBay and those have went up in the last week.

I’m really happy to see him get some attention! He’s turning into a yearly .290-.300, 30 HR type guy. Cannon of an arm too. It’s so tough to get into the ASG as an AL OF, but he absolutely deserves to be one of the Twins reps

I saw an article saying that the last two times his family came to watch him.. he hit 3 homers. Last year and this year. I'd sure hope they asked the Rosario's if they wanted season tickets by now..

To me, Twins will only have one all star no matter what by default, and it’s going to be him. Granted, he should make it anyways even if there isn’t a default and should be a reserve.

And he is considered a "good" player, so I stand by my position that he is not underrated. I am calm, I am just trying to help the OP understand why he doesn't have a better outlook from the hobby, which is what I think he was asking? I guess he was not looking for real answers? Maybe just looking for a choir to preach too?

His luck will run out when pitchers really focus on his swing and find his holes. Players with no plate discipline get figured out sooner than later.

Wonder if his previous suspension from his days in the minors are affecting the prices much. A lot of people around here don't even know he got a 50 game suspension. He is a lot of fun to watch though, frustrating at times though

Well with all the videos of him to study, I'd think whatever holes he has should have been figured out last year.

Maybe. Maybe not. I think it depends on what his approach is early in the count. Pitchers aren't going to be intentionally throwing breaking balls out of the zone 0-0,1-0, etc..

Though certainly not ideal, it can be done: Dee Gordon, Adam Jones, Gurriel, Jose Abreu, Didi Gregorious, Starling Marte, Jean Segura. Heck, even look at a younger Cano or Altuve..

Simply saying he's an underrated player in the baseball world, cards or no.

Here's an article from a few days ago:

If underrated means does he deserves more attention for an AS spot this year? Then it is a yes.

If underrated means is he being overlooked as a perennial AS or HOFer? Then no, he needs more work on that.

No FY Autos but I built a nice little RC stash over the last year. No question a free swinger but man he sure fills up the stat sheet when he's hot.

Those are two great looking Rosario RC sets.
My brother-in-law has a really nice collection of his first year cards and game used stuff.

Eddie obviously loves to swing the bat and it's been great seeing him have this success. Really exciting (offensive/defensive) player.

Let's get some more love going for this guy! Currently tied for 5th in the AL batting average race at .323 (along with some dude named Trout) and has 16 home runs, 46 RBI, and 50 runs scored as well

He's on an 8-game hitting streak right now, and yesterday he went 4-4 with a 2B, HR, 2 RBI, and 4 runs while only seeing 4 pitches

Top 5 among AL OFs in H, R, 2B, HR, RBI, AVG, SLG, and WAR

He's certainly a free swinger, but man, he's made it work. He's improved each of the past few years, developing more power and a higher average, and it looks like this isn't just a fluke

You'll want to check out his cannon of an arm in the OF too. It's so much fun to see a runner rounding third as Eddie's receiving the ball, because you know he's toast

Currently not getting the recognition he deserves for the ASG either. He's a borderline starter right now, which admittedly is very tough to do given all the elite OF options in the AL. He'll almost certainly make it at least as a reserve, but let's take note of what he's doing here!

Really has been incredibly fun to watch him play this year. Can't wait to see what his stat line looks like at the end of the year!

Cooled off a bit in terms of hype lately, but he's still in a tie for most hits in the AL, and in a 4-way tie for 2nd most hits in the entire league. Currently sitting at .299, 28 2B, 20 HR, 66 RBI, 72 runs scored, and up to 4.2 bWAR on the season

I don't do much baseball prospecting anymore but strangely enough my biggest stashes are two Twins - Sano (HUGE) and Rosario (decent). I got in on Rosario after following him in the minors and it's been really enjoyable seeing his success, but yeah, his prices were so low for such a long time. He's starting to tick up but with Chrome BGS 9.5 Auto's at $70 or less and base Chrome Auto typically under $20 still, it's crazy how little hobby love he gets.
