Pannini Redemption

Okay I did it. I just did my first redemption. I was holding off because of what I have been reading. It's not the best card but what the hell. Then I see that it's going to take 4 months to get the card. WOW what do they have to do. Send the player the swatch for the auto, cut down a tree to make the paper, then put it together, then let it sit for a month or so then send it out. I might see it in June if at all, then what if I don't see it?

While they give themselves 4 months, Panini usually gets them out as fast as possible...it is a case of CYA.

Haven't had any experience with Panini yet...have several out there waiting (only about a month)...but from when Donruss was running the show, I never had any redemption problems with them...not sure if Panini will be the same...guess we'll see...

Compared to Topps (super terrible) and Upper Deck (sorta bad), four months would actually be pretty quick.. My experiences with their football stuff is usually pretty quick and they offer a 4 month or a 8 month wait period, before offering exchanges though I would not wish to exchange any. So, it is just a *time period* and not actually the wait length.

I have been waiting since early August for an autographed Joe McKnight (Jets) Rookie patch /100. I just gave them a dual Ovechkin/Maruk Back to the Future dual sigs /25 and a Daniel Alfredsson auto /25, both from Limited.
They quit responding to me after telling me they are way behind. I asked if they would make it worth my while for waiting since August, and I got the blanket response that they were behind.
Replacements, yes, they are fast. Redemptions, they suck.

It's a gong show...I've got a few with UD and a few with Panini...replacement for damaged cards from Panini in the mail just now, I sent three back and it cost me $30 to send, for damaged cards they ask for the receipt, wrappers, cards, name, address, a letter of whats wrong with the cards...blood, urine samples. It's a joke and I bet they just send the replacement cards...nothing saying they are sorry or an extra card or two for the hassle. I'll let you know.

Not going to take 4 months to make the card.
After 4months you will be able to ask for a replacement, because obviously, it wont be done.

give them the benefit of the doubt. this is Panini's first year in hockey and i'm sure they have ALOT of kinks to work out that an established company in hockey wouldn't have to deal with -- legal issues, signing players, logistics, heck the whole operation. also, it isn't their fault that player's haven't returned their autos yet. at this point, 4 months coincides with the end of the season. perhaps that's when players have mentioned they'd get to signing again.

either way, just be patient. the dudes working at the card companies hate redemptions just as much as you. the followup on their side with the athletes, with the redeemers, and with the replacements must be a pain in the butt.

Out of 18 redemptions I have right now with Panini, only 2 are Hockey. My oldest two, going on a year now, are 09/10 Basketball

Im building the 2010 Freshman Fabric football set and I have all my cards besides Tebow. There is 35 total and I have 20 in hand. 14 of them are redemptions Im waiting on Panini to send me. I called the other day and they said they didnt have any back yet. They really suck as of late. I guess when UD went baically under they firgured they didnt have much competition and could act like UD did. We will see how far this gets them. Not only am I waiting on my FF autos but im waiting on 9 others from them. I have 23 total in through them. I am not buying much of their stuff anymore because im sick of it. I said before with how plates and patches is set to have ur big hit in a one touch with a sticker, how are we gonna have to scratch the code when its in a sealed one touch lol. Please come back UD, atleast ur design is cool and autos are on card. I would understand this if Paninis autos were on card but they simply are not

I've had bad luck with Panini redemptions. They take forever or just end up sending me a replacement. I've had good luck with Upper Deck over the past few years.

Dude, i got two more redemptions with Panini...they are both the same card, Jonas Holos!!!!! Yikes!

It is not really all on Panini either. The athletes are the ones who delay signing. Somebody even told me they had to almost corner Subban to get his autographs for Certified and whatever else I suppose. Not really sure if that is true, but if you really wanna blame somebody, blame the *athletes* who take forever to sign some stickers or cards.

One of my redemptions is SUBBAN, Material Phenoms from Limited.... Only card i upped my wait time up to 8 months....Skinner is another one im waiting on from Certified.....Im hoping i see them sometime this year!!!
