So, he will do good for half the home games and not good the other half? Since they are splitting time between Brooklyn and Long Island.

Lamoriello has been one of the most successful GM's in hockey, his tenure with the Maple Leafs was no different than any of his predecessors and he parted ways.

Considering what he meant to the Devils organization and the ultimate success he achieved, I think he's a great fit for an Islanders team that has had no direction for quite some time.

Agree. Would take him over many GMs out there.

Depends on your definition of "succeed." If you mean win a Cup, I don't think so, but he made both Nashville and Washington into contenders.

so far he has signed Leo Komarov to a 4 year contract and traded for Matt Martin... while losing Tavares. So I'm standing by my post
