I don’t know what’s crazier about that stat, the disparity, or the fact that the East’s lone member is Joachim Noah lmao

I voted 8. Giannis and Embiid are the only ones IMO.

Just imagine how this year’s All-Star game would look if the league didn’t switch up the rules.

Yep. What’s crazy is if you extend it to even top 24 best players, I think it’s still like 18-6 or 19-5. It’s just a stunning imbalance that we’ve been talking about for a decade and seemingly gets worse every year.

All I know is that the finals will be 4-0 again. That's depressing. Imagine the showpiece of the entire season being a whitewash and you know it before the season even starts. I know Boston will be decent, maybe they'll win one game.

Basically we have an A league and a B league now. This is a complete disaster for the league.
They've gotten All stars captains to pick teams to address the imbalance. How long before they address it for the playoffs.

Everybody’s favorite talking head, skip bay less just teeeted...

“The best player in the East is now Joel Embiid.”

What if he’s right? He might be.

I was dumb and voted backwards. I should learn to read and understand directions better. One of those 2s should be an 8.

If Boston somehow gets Kawhi it won't be.

Only lock from the East as a top 10 player is Giannis. Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid and Kyrie could all make cases as well depending on their play next year, but even then probably only for the 9 and 10 spots. So at best (for the West) we are talking 9-1 and maybe at worst 7-3.

They'll win games with him there but are they any chance? More likely he's off to LA.

It's been this way since Jordan retired in '98 outside of a few seasons. Why do you think LeBron has gone to eight straight Finals out of the East?

Just a few years ago, there were several great ones in the east...

He doesn't have a trade clause, and no way Pop/Buford want to actively help LA get better. If he chooses to sit out the entire year he'll have to forfeit his contract and won't be eligible to be a FA, so he won't do that either. Odds are he ends up in the East.

It will be interesting to see who steps up and wants to take the crown as best player in the East, my guess it will be Simmons, especially if he starts hitting 3's (praying!)

Glad to see the Simmons investors still can't take a joke. Hope he finds the time to get thousands of shots up in-between being on the Kardashians show this summer!

We have discussed this. There are just too many of his fans (and investors) on here who are not willing to allow criticism. They dismiss and belittle more than any fan base I can remember on here. It’s almost like you’re not allowed to think that he won’t be great.

For the record, I think that he may become a top ten player but he’s not currently close. I think his major holes were pretty clearly on display against Boston - which is totally normal, by the way. They are a great defense.

there really is no argument for any less than 8...you can argue Giannis and then Embiid/Kryie....but you cant argue all 3 to make it 7-3

Lebron, Durant, Harden, Curry, Russ, AD are sure fire 6 no doubt about it

are Kyrie AND Embiid better than: Lillard, CP3, PG13, Butler, Towns, Cousins, Gobert, Jokic

IDK who my 10 would be in what order...but i know that only Giannis would be in like top 8...and Embiid would prob be 10-but i like philly so it might be biased....Kyrie is not top 10 to me...maybe top 15..but prob not there even

just scrolled down to see that all-nba list and realized i didnt list Kawhi either!

so yea...8 minimum and prob closer to 9/10 more realistically

Lebron
Durant
AD
Russ
Kawhi
Curry
Giannis
Harden
Lillard
Embiid/Butler/Towns/Cousins/Jokic/Gobert

could prob be swayed to any of those 6 for my 10th spot...

It’s tough for a lot of people when they have money on the line, even when it’s just $100. I prefer to hear criticism and find out if it’s valid but that can be tough to do.

I hope Ben Simmons picks up a 3 point shot. It wasn’t too long ago that Lebron was a pretty bad jump shooter. He didn’t hit 36% 3pt shooting until his 9th year in the league, and before that only had two years at 34% or higher

its not even a 3pt shot though really...just any type of shot...i love simmons..but yea he will for sure cap his ceiling/potential if he cant even just pull up and hit a 15-18ft shot once in while...let alone the 23ft 3ptr...would be great if he could add that...but yea...now just needs ANY shot to be added so that at least you would have to pay attn that he could shoot while out there
