Ebay Says Delivered On a Sunday?

Not sure if this is the best spot for this...but I got a notification that a package I bought was Delivered today, Sunday, at an odd hour, 4pm. My mail usually comes at 10am.

The tracking on usps shows it was delivered as well.

Basicaly, my question is has anyone else had something say Delivered on a Sunday and obviously no package is there?

Tracking started with a 936 which I thought was unusual, since I was under the assumption almost all usps is 940 or of the variant.

Am I the only one, or did usps mess up?

I had a package delivered recently that says delivered and nothing there. Contacted usps and they said sorry but they can’t help and I’m out the package and money.

Not sure when it started but I’ve seen them for about 3-4 months in my area. I thought it was just them catching up from holidays or something.

I know Amazon delivers on Sundays, but ebay doesn't have the same contract.

I am at a loss here... seems I may be screwed overall. Never had it say Delivered in my mailbox when the package is way bigger than my mailbox. I live in a house as well, so no one stole it. I was also home all day with my windows/doors open for the heat.

We received today a package from Amazon, two magazines, 1 bill, two pieces of junk mail. Only happens when carrier is out here for a Sunday delivery, but when they are we always get other mail too.

From what I read, some people are sending empty boxes etc to bad addresses cause it still gets tracked by usps etc and will say delivered. I will just have to go into the PO in the morning and ask for a image of the scan. Only thing I can think of to do. I was just curious if anyone had a Sunday notation thats not from Amazon and was actually delivered.

We have them from eBay all the time and at times I think it is because a neighbor has an amazon package that has lead the mailman to be there, hope you can get this figured out.

Postal employee here. A tracking number starting with 936 is an Amazon generated item that usps delivers. Noncareer employees work on Sundays delivering Amazon items only, hence the odd timing. Most likely they delivered to the wrong house or to a differenr location than your regular mail carrier. Call your local office and ask for some insight on it.

Sometimes things either accidently getscanned delivered or are scanned when they arrive at the receiving POs. The USPS does do some deliveries on Sundays in certain areas, usually just priority packages though.

Its not unheard of for a package to show delivered and not be delivered for a couple of more days.

A lot of Ebay sellers dropship from Amazon. Especially if its something like electronics or something like that.

Not shady at all, that is fulfillment or drop shipping and a lot of people and companies do it

So your mail carrier didn't want to deliver it on Sunday so they just scanned it delivered because they have to deliver on sundays for amazon.

I've received mainly Priority Mail from wherever on Sundays, other than Amazon stuff.
