I was about to pull the trigger on a Kobe Bryant Zpeat Zebut, but when I saw it on-hand, there was a refractor line on the left side of the card. The pictures that the seller showed didn't have the refractor line (maybe because of the lighting). Its a good thing I asked for a meet-up. The card is actually clean, no dings, no cracks..
He was selling it at around $250.
Is it still a great deal with the refractor line? Or should I pass? How about for other cards? Thanks!

Guess the question is......does the refractor line bother you or do you think it takes away from the appeal of the card. If that's a yes, then yes it will affect the cards value.

I personally hate them and they make a difference to the price and grade.
If it's PC I will always avoid them unless they're pretty commom through the set.

I like your last sentence. Its the first time I saw a refractor line on a Zebut Zpeat card actually. Compared to 1997-98 Bowman’s Best Refractors and the early Flair cards, which are pretty common. Coupled the fact that the offer of $250 was a bit pricey. I think I will pass on it.
My Duncan Bowman Refractor RC has a Refractor line and I have seen refractor lines on those sets, a lot. But I got it cheap, way back in 1999. My Flair Duncan RC base also has a refractor line, but that was pack pulled, so I kept it. Haha..
Thanks for the reply! Appreciate it.

I had one once on a high end sepia refractor in topps chrome football. Ran vertically down the left side of the card. I sent it in for grading and it got a 9.5 surface. If i was a buyer i wouldn't personally want it as much as a clean one obviously.
