Accepted a best offer for a high end item and buyer hasn't paid for it yet and it's been a few days. Frustrating because I can't relist the item in case the person pays for it, which I doubt they are going to. Why can't eBay introduce a deposit when the person puts an offer in (like 20 percent and if item is purchased it goes towards the item, if not the hold is released) or if you offer $300 on an item, you have a $300 hold put on your funding. It's just super annoying how often this happens is all.

What I’ve done on some high end is instead of having best offer I simply put willing to accept offers and have them message me. Then you can change the BIN price to the offer and require immediate payment.

If it's been more than 48 hours then open a case on them. Ebay gives you all kinds of tools to alleviate a lot of stuff like this from happening. If you utilize them then your NPBs are less likely to happen.

It is annoying we've all been there. I think sometimes what happens is people are addicts and want the card but don't have the money yet. They're waiting until they can scrape up additional funds or get paid.
