With the release of Ginter approaching and an official checklist out, I figured this would be a good place to place information on every non baseball signer. So when you pull this person’s auto, you can have a broad idea on who is who. Also speculation about what’s going to be a good pull or not can be here :)!
Alison Lee-former world number 1 in amateur women’s gold, one of the top female American golfers
Austin Rogers- viral jeopardy champion, won roughly 450,000 on jeopardy, has a cult following due to his quirkiness. Currently number 5 all time in jeopardy winnings
Bill James- I mean most baseball fans know this guy, well known statistician. Helped change the game of baseball
Ben Lecomte- Became the first man to swim across the Atlantic Ocean without a kickboard in 1998

Champ Pederson-Brother of Joc Pederson, some really great stories about him that all should google
Doris Burke- TV analyst for the nba
Genie Bouchard- tennis player, I believe top 10. Also gained social media fame for going on a date with someone after she bet him that the falcons wouldn’t lose when they were up 28-3 in the super bowl. Also she’s canadien.
H Jon Benjamin- mostly known for his role as Archer, a famous tv show
Jack Sock- American tennis player, ranked 15th in the world
Jaren Jackson JR- number 4 overall pick in this years nba draft to the Memphis Grizzlies
Jon Lovitz SNL actor, also played the rich Dad from the movie Benchwarmers

Lincoln Riley- head coach of the Oklahoma football team
Lindsey Vonn- world famous skier, has won numerous Olympic gold medals. Also dated tiger woods.
Molly McGrath- Sideline reporter for Espn for college football
Marvin Bagley III - number 2 overall pick in this years nba draft by Sacramento

Paige Spiranac- former women’s golfer, now Sports Illustrates swimsuit model
Ryan Sickler - comedian and host of the podcast crabfeast
Stugotz- Sports talk radio host from Miami, known worldwide
Scott Blumstein- 2017 World Series of poker main event winner
Sean Evans- YouTube personality, host show called Hot Ones where he asks celebrities questions as they eat hot wings that get hotter as they go
Sonny Frederickson- Professional boxer
Scott Rogowsky- host of the trivia game HQ which is insanely popular especially among millennial. Millions play every night for free to win cash
Steve Simeone- Famous comedian
Sloane Stephens- World number 4 in women’s tennis, just won the french open last month
Collin Sexton- number 8 overall pick in this years nba draft by the Cleveland cavaliers

Any thoughts on what the Bill James one will go for? I usually have no interest in non-sports autos but that one sounds really cool.

don't think that's the case. Method Man autos will be the one to get.
Biz will be $5 all day.
and I have to challenge your assumption that Stugotz is known worldwide. I bet people who work at ESPN don't even know who he is.

Bagley and Jackson are from this year's draft like you have down for Sexton, not last years.

I think that will be a solid seller, honestly not sure on the price range. Coming out of the gate, maybe like the 75 range?
Him and Epstein definitely will be solid sellers. I think the Hemsworth and Chris Evans autos will be the big hits. Marvel is huge right now. I’m going to guess the top 5 will be
Hemsworth
Chris Evans
Tony Hawk
Scott Rogowsky
One of the rappers autos

Yeah I was meaning to say this past years, because it had happened. But fixed it to fix any confusion
I think the basketball autos could be sneaky Good pulls the first week or so because Panini doesn’t have any basketball products with these guys in them until next month

Hemsworth has been in many Upper Deck products. He'll still command $ but Evans is #1 auto to have from this list. His stuff will fly.
Chris Evans
Bagley/Sexton/Bridges
Hemsworth
Genie Bouchard/Paige Spiranac (one of these will get high)
Scott Rogowsky

Why try to polish a turd? This list is weak. Those who have bought cases of the product will tell you otherwise. Dealers who's have to sell this will tell you otherwise. People with relations with Topps will tell you otherwise, but check previous years lists...This is garbage. Sure there are a few good ones, and by good I don't mean stellar, but 95% of these names are garbage.
Can you really disagree with that?

My wife and I really want an Austin Rogers auto, I saw when he shared his cards on Twitter about a month back, we both love Jeopardy and he was a lot of fun to watch. Also very much need a H Jon Benjamin card, big Bobs Burgers fans, and he didn't sign for the Cryptozoic Archer set, so was quite surprised to see him. This will be his first signed card.

Top 10 sellers out of the gate (my best guess, in no particular order):
Chris Hemsworth
Chris Evans
H. Jon Benjamin
Theo Epstein
Method Man
Scott Rogowsky
Tommy Wiseau
Tony Hawk
Lincoln Riley
Austin Rogers
Wiseau, Riley, and Rogers will probably drop off quickly, but I could see the first few sales being $50+.
The basketball guys could surprise early too, given none of them have cards yet (to my knowledge).

I thought list was going to be awful...
You always want to see 3-4 bigs names...
But as a whole it is a lot better then i thought it was going to be....
The baseball checklist is to big... which i expected... But there is a lot of stars and hofers
Not bad overall... the rips are filled with right players...
looks good imo
The NBA top picks and capt and thor really was big for this year....

I agree, I’m about the same, roughly 16/17 autos I’d like to have/hit. This checklist has a few big names and I feel some really solid depth. I’d rather have 2-3 big names and quality depth than 5 big names with a bunch of nobodies.
Also I wish Blumstein would have made a big run in the main event this year. Him busting out Day 1 sucks. But his autos might be popular, lots of money in the poker industry. Heck he might even drive the prices up himself with his large stack

As always, you are wrong again. I have been a case breaker and dealer of Ginter since 2010 and this list is one of the best overall lists they've ever had. You are too focused on the handful of autos that sold for 700-1K and this release doesn't have one of those, but the overall quality is much stronger than most years. Far less "fillers" than most years. This is a really good list dude.

I have been bashing topps this year on production and my lack of nice hits..
But just the base baseball and non baseball checklist....
there is 110 cards...
i would say at least 25-30 are really nice... so 1/3
with many more mid level hits...
I am shocked how much better it is then i thought....
Then all the insert autos.. which the checklists are just big names
the rip card checklist is loaded
originals metals etc...
now we just wait till monday or tuesday when brent rolls in with the odds and case run....
Not out of the woods yet....
But if it sticks to 6-7 autos and 2 rips... it is going to be ok

Purely speculation, but the rip card checklist went from 90 last year to 100 this year. If those are #/60 again and duals are #/10, it's an increase from 2,925 cases to 3,225 cases. I would bet something like rips are up to #/75 and production is up near 4,000 cases ... but again, purely speculation. We'll find out soon.
I'm out on Ginter, but if Ginter X is the same format and print run as it was last year, I'm in for a case or two.

The last few products were exactly 50% increase so I'm going with 4,400 cases and rips being higher than 75.

That would be rough.
But I doubt they change there plan for 2018
It won’t hurt value of rips much
But it just makes getting a bigger hit so tough

Bouchard was top 10, then slipped in locker room, sued tennis, won some of settlement, but now is second to last in odds each tournament.

Funny sometimes reading through old posts about stuff, while that one was numbered "1"/25, i think you killed it at 90 bucks. I've seen those go for around 30-40 in current times.

Just some other interesting stuff related to what others posted.. I pulled a Method Man auto and am long waiting for the redemption of it and also bought a Biz Markie at redemption at $10 (also waiting).
I'm interested to see prices once these cards are live, I've seen some of the non baseball autos really jump in prices way after the release as they become hard to find. Was thinking of selling as a "Rapper" lot once they finally get to me.
