Starling Heredia "Temporary Inactive"

I am looking for any insight into the status of Starling Heredia who has been on the temporary inactive list for Great Lakes Loons for a little more than a month. I know he was struggling greatly prior to his disappearing act, but if anyone can tell me what he might be up to these days I would appreciate it. Thank you.

He was stinking it up. I think his BA was in the .170s for awhile. Fortunately for me I sold off all the color I had of him when the season started.

He’s only 19, but .182 in Low A with a million strikeouts doesn’t bode well for his future.

I was hoping to see him in San Bernardino (A ball) this year. He obviously was sent somewhere to work on his swing mechanics, approach.. something. He was looking great in Rookie league last year. The Loons (low A) is not a big step up. I could hit .200 in the Pioneer league. And I'm over 40 and fat. Something is wrong and whatever it is the don't see moving him down to Rookie league as the answer.

But keep in mind, he's still a teenager from a foreign country. I remember last year when my son asked Keibert Ruiz for an autograph the week he was moved up to high A, it was like a deer in headlights. To my son, he was the Dodgers 18 year old top catching prospects. And he was excited to meet him. But it was obvious that Ruiz was still a kid, who isn't old enough to drink, playing baseball in a foreign country where he hasn't even been here long enough to learned the language. It can be intimidating.

Hopefully Heredia will get it figured out.

Same thing happened with Jacob Gatewood and he recovered nicely. Hope it works out for him.

Why sell? His prices are rock bottom and he's still young with potential. Seems like a good time to buy? I grabbed a couple of cheap blue autos, worth a gamble in my opinion

Exactly tons of upside turning 19 this year. Hit a HR first day back. 100% a gamble but a good one if he gets hot being so young. I like the Plus power, has to cut down on all the K's

As someone who’s sitting on a decent amount of his base/Refractor autos, he is for sure in the BUY category. This is the lowest his prices have ever been.

I just bought a real nice high end lot for cheap. I didn't realize he is back, and hopefully it was just his eye sight. Very happy to hear this news!

I believe Desmond Lindsay also had LASIK surgery before this year. Best of luck to him but it's certainly not a panacea.
