Had a new ebayer pay with echeck...and 9 days later the payment has not gone through. I just canceled the paypal pending payment and opened a NPB case...hoping that he will pay with a credit card. Anybody else have experience with a newbie that tried to pay via echeck?

I get them about once a month, and not just from new bidders. All you can do is wait them out. Since you canceled it he is not obligated to repay and you may not even be able to give him a strike for non-payment, used to be Ebay has to declare it as a dead check before you can do so. 9 days tells me the first attempt bounced so they were trying again, that usually takes 7 to 10 days.

Thanks for the insight. Sounds like he can even try and resubmit his echeck, then?

He could, you are required to accept them on Ebay purchases so that option would likely still be available. Odds are he is not going to pay at all.

I'm okay with him not paying at all, I just want the transaction to be done with. First time receiving an echeck and not impressed, obviously. Thanks again.
