Being a California kid and Las Vegas adult (which is a term I use loosely), I got a little into Hockey collecting in the early 90's and then busted like 7 tins of 04-05 The Cup and a case of SP Authentic (never pulled a Crosby AUTO, just an Ovechkin insert). I work at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant on the Strip and had a party of six come in towards the end of the night. One guy was dominating the conversation all night, and he was talking about how he was friends with Gretzky, Robitaille, etc. Well he ended up paying the bill, and it was kind of cool to see the name on his credit card. I kept the credit card slip with his Autograph, Mr. Marcel Dionne. Should I sell it on ebay as a 1/1 and ask a fortune for it? Ha ha, just kidding. Kind of cool to have, even though it will just get buried deep in one of my drawers. And BTW, he didn't stiff me on the tip, since it was a party of six we included the Automatic gratuity.

Honestly, it will probably get buried deep in a drawer of mine. If there is a hard core Dionne fan out here on these boards, just let me know and I'll ship it to you if you really want it and will enjoy it to a decent extent.

Marcel owned a cards shop in one of our local malls here in Buffalo a few years back. He did a signing at another LCS not to long ago and I asked him why he closed his store. He told me that he loved the store but the mall policies were bad and that he opened a huge place just across the river in Canada. He told me it is great to have the freedom to open and close as he wishes. Marcel told me to stop in and he will close the shop for a while and we can talk hockey all day if I wanted. Well I just got my passport so we are thinking we go go and say hello in the spring. Marcel is one of the nicest players you will ever meet.

That is what is great about living in Vegas you never know who you might run into. I lived there about 8 years ago (not for long) but it was fun. My buddy still lives there and he works out with alot of MMA guys. You just never know in that town.

I don't know if it's a big deal or not but it might be a good idea to blur out the last digits of his card # when displaying online. Just a thought, he will probably never know of anything but I'm sure he'd appreciate it. :D

Dang, as a Kings fan, I gotta say that is pretty darn interesting. Pop that sucker into some type of protection and keep it. It makes a great oddball item to add to your sport's collection.

YES. I've tried to save receipts for various reasons over the years and they degrade really, really quickly. Good call ilovethelakings. :)! I've tried laminating and it works great BUT it's very permanent.
