With sports betting being legal now (am I right on that?), is there a good legal safe app or site people use. Just looking to casually bet on games. $20 here and there.
Any info would be nice. If this isn’t allowed, please remove.

It’s still not legal in every state. It’s jusy not illegal on the federal level. Each state has to make it legal in their respective states. It is not Legal in Wisconsin.

I rarely bid but if I do, BetDsi is pretty good.

Bovada's not bad despite hating their new layout, pretty painless cash outs the several times I've done it.

5dimes and bovada are the two I like best.

As the phone operator for a big casino in the northern California area, I get this question almost daily, so here's the lowdown on what happened.
There was a law passed in 1992 called the PASPA Act (Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act). It made it illegal to bet on sporting events in all but 4 states. This year, the Supreme Court decided that it was illegal to tell states what they can and cannot do in regards to sports wagering, so they repealed the PASPA Act. Now, the states have still stated that it's illegal to wager on sports, for now. Five states, however, have passed laws to move towards legalization, if not already have implemented legalization of sports wager - Connecticut, Mississippi, New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Until your state passes a law to legalize it, sports wagering is STILL ILLEGAL. No, I'm not one to judge as I'm just hoping my state, California, can get this done quickly so we can start wagering here instead of having to drive 2-3 hours to Reno or Tahoe to bet on sports.
With that out of the way, I have some questions. I've looked at Bovada and 5Dimes. I like the exotics they offer in addition to the normal sports categories. My issue comes with the payouts. I'm a small potatoes, aka recreational, bettor. The $5 or $10 wagers either straight bets or parlay tickets and depositing $100-200 and hoping to make it into $500-$1000 and then withdrawing. Seeing their fees, it doesn't seem reasonable for me to play at those sites. Is there someone here who DOES use an online site that can tell me where they lines are good but also the withdrawal fees won't take all of my winnings?

For me, Bitcoin has been the best way to fund and cash out from books. Free to deposit and free to withdraw. Only issue may be the volatility. Might lose $50 here or there or might gain $50. It all depends how soon you can convert it to US $.

They do it online somehow, then settle up at a certain dollar amount.
Set me up an account.
I am down $100 for about 6 months of soccer and baseball.

They are the old Bodog, I miss their poker setup vs. how they have it now. I've been using betOnline too

Decent bonus and usually get some free bets. I am a low amount guy $10-$20. Maybe $50 on the SB. But it is a decent book and have rewards like a dedicated customer service rep

Bookmaker and Heritage are my Go to books. Just took some cash out from BM via bitcoin from this weekend' winnings. I also sometimes use Justbet, part of Bookmaker family and 5Dimes. 5dimes and Heritage are best for props and ingame. The most important thing i care about is getting paid quickly and all these shops have paid me in a relatively quick time frame. I would avoid Betdsi. They used to be good but separated from the Bookmaker family and have a ton of complaints.

There was last year. The thread just needs to be made.
