last nights game was a work of art. there is not really anywhere to pick out a flaw. i suppose lack of edge rush was a weakness that showed at the start of the game but things settled down just fine after the first raiders drive and even more in the second half.

this team is a force.

You can tell the starters didn't take a snap in preseason. A bit rusty, Oakland came out with their hair on fire and played a great first half.

But the Rams made the second half adjustments like always - Phillips the best in the NFL in making adjustments

I would like to see better clock management out of McVay. Hell of a coach but needs to kill the clock better late in games when they are up. Passing is fine, just a tad more conservative and keep the ball in play, stay inbounds, etc.

What are their weaknesses?

This week its the Cardinals.Suh has let it known that he has payback on his mind when he plays against Bradford.

Suh has payback on his mind? For what? Do you mean just something to prove and to show teams that he deserved to be picked ahead of Bradford in the 2010 draft? I’m actually curious to read the article you read stating “payback.”

Rams will need to pressure Cousins in order to help out the secondary, especially backup corners Roby and Shields. Having home field and McVay being familiar with Cousins should be slight advantages for the Rams.

Rams enabled the Jack-in-the-Box special (for SoCal fans) by scoring the two touchdowns needed before the 1st quarter was even done yesterday. I remember when the deal was first offered for the 2016 season and it coincided with the Rams being the lowest scoring team in football. I think they came through something like 4 times that year. Last year, I think they only came up short 3 times all season as the highest scoring team in the league. Looks like they'll at least match that number this year, although it may be tough to top KC for the scoring title, they way they're going. Hopefully, it'll be them and the Rams in the Super Bowl.

Great start to the season so far. Looking forward to the rest...

Prime Time tonight !! Offense to shine tonight :)!Woah, what a TNF game!

I couldn't believe how excited I was for the two rookie QB's last week but obviously this one is going to be even better. I'm super into TNF this year because it feels like a "real" game with the 1st rate announcers, regardless of how you feel about them.

Strangely I'm not worried about this game tonight. The offense has me feeling all type of confidence.

I told a co worker of mine to humble me with his thoughts on how Vikes would win cause I'm feeling great even with the injuries at CB.

Exciting to have a fun game to go home after work and watch

Lifelong Rams fan here in Indiana. It was much easier to see them In St. Louis but they belong in Los Angeles. I got to go to three different games during the Greatest Show On Turf Super Bowl winning season and that was an insane blast. Was right there the next year when they got the rings on Monday night against Denver.

Yesterdays win wasn't pretty over Denver but it certainly showed they are not only set up to win one way. Being outside in the cold with wind threw off the passing game but we had Gurley to lean on. That is exactly what you look for in a champion, even if all cylinders aren't clicking you find a way to pull out the ugly wins.

I think we are in for a very long run in the playoffs.

Saints and Chiefs have the best chance beating the Rams, but at least 13 wins seems almost a foregone conclusion at this point.

Rams Chiefs game will be played in LA due to stadium issues in Mexico City. With a Rams win and a Seahawks loss, the Rams would win the NFC West. Thus securing a playoff spot.

jdandns
11-13-2018, 11:34 PM
Yeah, apparently there was a giant benefit concert held in the stadium that absolutely destroyed the field. Would've been a great showcase of the game down Mexico way with these two quality teams going at it, but the right decision was made. Can't risk the players getting hurt...

167 yard game for C.J. in for Gurley today, and Donald now has a good chance at the season sack record. A strong finish next Sunday and LA will be able take a week off to get everyone right. Then, if someone can knock off New Orleans and the Rams can win their divisional game, LA could still host the NFC title game.

jdandns

Solid finish, 13-3, tied with the Saints for the best record in football.

Jared Goff completed about 65% of his passed for 4,688 yards and 32 TD (12 picks) for a QB rating of 101.1, a Top 8 finish.
Donald with 20.5 sacks, and a likely DPOY award.
Gurley with 1,251 rushing yard in 14 games, finishing 3rd in the NFL.

The team has earned a week off, and hopefully will come back strong for the Divisional round.
Looking forward to having Gurley AND Anderson in the backfield.

When the Rams left LA for St. Louis, they won the title in their 5th season in St. Lou
This is the Rams 3rd season since leaving St. Louis, and already a chance to better the above by several seasons.

I wish they would do something different with the pro bowl.

I think main one will be “Best young coach in NFL vs greatest ever”. I think that will get shoved down our throats for 2 weeks

That one, along with young up and coming first time SB QB vs veteran multiple SB appearances GOAT. Also, the whole spy gate from the first super bowl meeting between the teams, plus just it being a SB rematch. The Pats beat the Rams to start their dynasty, I’m hoping the Rams put an end to it.

I dont think that’s going to be pushed. Not think NFL is going to want a lot of STL mentioned and the cheating thing. It will be discouraged

Ahhhh yeah, good point. So yours regarding the coaches, and im thinking the QBs, too, up and comer v. the GOAT. Although Goff hasn’t been as good as he was early on in the season.

I don't know about all of you, but I'm really excited the Rams are wearing their throwbacks for the Super Bowl.

He wouldn’t be my first option...Or second or third, for that matter. But I hope he plays well and makes some big catches.

Still a great season at 15-4.
Congrats to the Patriots.
Back at it next year, fellow Rams fans.
This is obviously a solid foundation to keep building on.

I was proud of the defense, they played well enough to win, no doubt. The Rams’ offense and the offensive coaches should be embarrassed. They had two weeks to prep and they only scored 3 points.

3 points
That’s some high powered offense.

I don't usually like what-ifs, but Cooks dropped the tying touchdown late in the 4th quarter. He holds on to that pass, could be a totally different story today.

That said, hats off to the Patriots defense. This game and the one at Chicago were the only times all season the Rams offense reminded me of the ones they fielded these last 10 to 15 years in the desert, and the Bears had the benefit of the cold to aid in their domination. (I think that game may also be when Gurley got the injury he obviously never fully recovered from).

While the crowd noise yesterday was certainly advantage-Patriots, after what LA went through in New Orleans in the Championship game, it can't have been that bad for the Rams, although I think they did commit something like 4-5 pre-snap penalties, which is inexcusable in a game of this magnitude. Again, credit the seasoned Patriots defense coupled with the inexperience of the Rams offense playing at this level.

Oh well, what's done is done. Back at it 2019, with hopefully a better result.
